No stars actually. Verbally contracted for a 40 yard dump truck. He subcontracted the job to ** Hauling. When I arrived on the jobsite, the truck was much smaller than promised. It was 20-26 yards. I asked the driver what size the truck was and he told me 26 yards. He told me that ** did not want to send a 40 yard truck because he didn't think it would fit in the alley. The truck that was sent because was in such bad condition that it barely made it to the quarry. Once at the quarry, it became stuck and took a lengthy amount of time to get unstuck (the owner of our company rode with the driver to the quarry). ** sent another truck as we complained to him about the size of the truck and the additional costs we would accrue due to additional loads. The truck he sent was the same size and caused us to have to hire another contractor and pay for additional loads and dumps. ** negotiated the final price with us because he realized that they had made a mistake and we paid Ahrens for their services. Though, ** did not pay ** Hauling out of the money we paid. He submitted a letter requesting that we pay the balance to an entity that we are working for and they are withholding payment due to this letter. I contacted ** and he admitted that he negotiated the price to just try to get some money out of the deal He refuses to retract the letter. I have contacted the CEO , Patricia Ahrens, several times and have not received a response. I am very dissatisfied with the services I received from Ahrens and cannot seem to get anyone to call back.
