Everyone made this a great evening at the Afton House. We enjoyed celebrating my friends birthday here. Very nice ambience and the Flaming Bananas Foster was unbelievable..........

Worst

I took my wife to the Afton Inn for diner as it was our 5th anniversary and a new neighbor had recommended it for just such an occasion. The chocolate covered strawberry's waitin...

A++++++++ I can see why we keep hearing about the Afton House. My husband and I dine out often at high rated restaurants in the Twin Cities and I must say this was one of the top dining dates we have had in recent years. Everything was suberb. Chef Justin visited our table and we could not tell him enough about how good the food was. The featured Trilogy entree was divine and so was the Chocolate Creme Brulee, not to mention an Amazing bottle of Pinot Noir. From the Riedel Crystal Stemware (Nice Touch) to the fantastic server and her assistant to the flambe show (My Husband had the flaming Steak Dianne and loved It!) everything was outstanding. Thank you so much for a great night. We'll be back soon!! Pros: Everything: Service, Food, Wine, Chef, Manager, Tableside Flambe...Great Dining! Cons: 20 minutes from our house.......wish I lived closer......but will be back soon!! more

Great Service 2/2/2007

Recently my husband and I visited the Afton House for a wonderful dinner. The evening began when we walked in the wheel room to an atmosphere filled with warmth and comfort. We sat at a quiet, romantic table for two. We enjoyed a wonderfully cooked meal and desert to top off the night. The service was absolutely divine from beginning to end. The staff is quite an undescribable addition to this incredible establishment. I can not wait to enjoy another meal at this fabulous restaurant, I can't believe I didn't know about this inn sooner. Great Customer Care 1/24/2007

My husband and I visited the Wheel Room a few weeks ago with another couple to celebrate my husbands birthday. I must say it was delightful experience. As a first time diner at the Afton House I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was wonderful and helped us in our meal and wine descisons throughout the night. She was a great attribute to have while talking us through wine and dessert questions. Our meal was fabulous and we will be back. Pros: Great wait staff! more

A memorable anniversary 1/24/2007

I recently celebrated my two year anniversary with the Afton House, and I have to say it was a wonderful way to spend the evening. We enjoyed the steak diane and the penne belvedere for dinner and the food was remarkable. The service was also spectacular. Our server was very attentive and always checking to make sure we were happy. We loved the Afton House and we will be back. more

Nice Rooms! 9/15/2006

I liked the room my wife and I stayed in. Clean. Nice. I didn't like the food. The staff was crabby!!!!! Only one smiled. Managemaent seems poor. Swearing, grumblinga mong staff. Trashy. I do have to agree with these other reviews, Dan the Bartender/Waiter was really good..... I would skip this place because the food stinks! But it's worth the trip if you want someone who will take care of your drinks. Fast. Good. Go when Daniel (I think) is working!!!! Cons: management!!!!!! more

Tasty & Reasonable 7/26/2002

We have been enjoying the Sunday Brunch at Afton House Inn for years. One of the few places you can still go to that have linens on the tables. The food is very tasty and good. The scrambled eggs benedict are my favorite! The price is reasonable and you get an excellent brunch for your money. The dining room is really elegant and we have found the staff to be very friendly. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Food, Great ambiance more
