Afton Alps is a great place to take kids to ski. The instructors are so helpful. The variety of runs makes it a great place for skiers of all abilities. First rate!

A really great place to ski 8/19/2005

Afton Alps Ski Area is a really great place to go in the winter. The slopes are well-kept, and are of a wide range of difficulty, so this ski area will appeal to everyone from seasoned individuals to beginners and families. If you're not too ski- or snowboard-savvy, Afton Alps has an amazing ski school that has been called the best in the Midwest. I know from personal experience that the instructors are awesome -- my boyfriend & his family work there! -- and the prices aren't too bad either. more

Skiing 8/18/2005

This ski area has numerous hills for all levels of skiing ability. You can rent skis and boots or bring your own. They offer lessons for adults and kids. Lessons can be private or group. The chalet has plenty of seating near windows when you want to watch others ski. They offer a full menu of burgers and meals, with plenty of beverages to warm you up. They do have a bar area restricted to 21 and over. Ski boots can be worn in the restaurant and bar areas. more

  • Afton alps. Located in hastings. Minn. . is one of the largest skiing and SNOWBOARDING areas in the midwest spread over nearly 300 skiable acres. The area also offers SNOWTUBING activities and features a SNOWTUBE park, a large variety of programs are offered to children and adults. SKI lessons are offered to beginners AS well AS for skiers wanting to advance their skills in the sport. SKI instructors provide group AS well AS private lessons. The area features more than 45 snow trails. CHAIRLIFTS and wonder carpet conveyors. SKI enthusiasts CAN also hire equipment from the rental shops in the area. Additionally. The area CAN BE used for night skiing and SNOWBOARDING. The resort also offers lodging facilities.
