Dear person
The term African american is redundent.
Your ancesters were brought to this country over three hundred yrs ago.
Under a system that was total wrong.
Lincoln freed the slaves. Which was the decent thing to do.
Any one born since then is American, African decent.
We, the white population knows that your ancesters were from Africa just by the color of skin.
We all are Americans first an nationality is secondary.
My ancestors are from Italy.
Does that make me an Italian American.
I look beyond the color barrier.
The main item that is in me is how the person treats me. If he treats me the way he wants to be treated I treat him the same way. I treat others the way I want to be treated . If that person doesnt then I find some one else.
We are all here for a short time and shou get along inspite of origan.
An american of Italian decent.
