Highly Recommend 2/24/2009

I had my own repair shop for 10 years then I was a mobil mechanic for 15 years. I know a little about auto repair now that I am retired this is the only shop that I will take my car recommend to my old customers. They are always willing to explain the recommendations they make and don't talk a bunch of nonsense. The prices are always fair and the work is top notch. more

Good Place to get your car fixed 2/21/2009

I have gone to this place 2 times. They did a great job fixing my car and charged a great price. I bought good tires and they had the best price I could find. I recommend this place to everyone that needs work or tires. more

misleading 2/4/2009

They tried to scam me as well with a list of problems on my Volvo. I balked and actually took it to a Volvo garage where they told me I definitely was getting scammed. I only needed one thing and that is what the Volvo garage did. By the way it was Northern European auto which did the work. If you don't know about cars watch out they may be friendly but will try to sell you a bridge. more

Keeping driving by Affordable Tire and Brake Repair on 15th Ave 10/13/2007

I went to the shop on 15th Ave to get new brakes and the mechanics were super nice while they were misleading me. Granted I did get a free brake inspection, which was good. But after that, it went downhill fast. The guy added on fees b/c I have a 4 wheel drive, then the long list of everything I needed plus some song and dance about my shocks being "bottomed out" and "gas leaking" secondary to that? I don't know alot about cars, but what? Then there was the oh yeah, one more thing....It was about $ 500 to just get my front brakes fixed so obviously I went somewhere else (D&D Brakes) and got a great brake job while saving $200! And no, I don't need new shocks. more

Very good sevice and very good prices. 1/26/2007

Last time I got tires I got them mail order at the Tire Rack. The tires were a good deal and they came in very fast. However, I found out that I had to pay extra for the installation because I bought them mail order. I am good about maintenance on my car and drive a lot for my job (20,000) miles per year.Every time I had my tires repaired I was charged $17-25 (3 times ). Everytime I had the tires rotated and balanced cost me $40-70. So figured it hadn't saved me any money and was a heck of a lot more trouble to haul them around and get them put on. I did a lot of research online and decided one the tires that I wanted. I shopped every tire dealer in Seattle. At Affordable Tire and Brake I was very pleased with the price; and very surprised at the quality of the service putting the tires on. They really acted like they appreciated my business and enjoyed their jobs. I definately will be back. more

Best service I ever had at a repair shop 9/19/2006

I had a lot of work done on my mini van. New tires & some brake work. Affordable Tire and Brake gave me the best customer service I have had in a long time. Very friendly, helpful and especially knowledgeable in their product. Prices were competitive with other businesses that I looked into. I am not savvy about car repairs and they explained everything I needed to know about what I needed to fix and why. I would recommend this business to everyone. more
