I never in my life thought I would have to file a Bankruptcy. For me, it was one of the hardest decisions I've had to make. After a long talk with my wife about our declining situation, we decided we had no choice and couldn?t survive with the way things were financially. I had lost my job a few years ago and my unemployment was running out. I contacted several Law Offices and didn?t feel comfortable with either the bedside manner or the atmosphere of the office. My neighbor told me about this office and when I called I was so relieved at the professionalism and kindness I received just by calling. The lady was very patient and answered all of my questions right over the phone. I scheduled my appointment the next day and I have to say from the first phone call to the first appointment I finally felt at ease and that it was okay to be seeking the relief my wife and I so desperately needed. The process was very fast and everyone was so helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone that needs relief and is looking for an office that will help every step of the way, be patient and knowledgeable and most importantly understand your situation and how difficult this decision was for you to make and all the while treat you with the upmost respect. According to the website, debtconsolidationcare, a Chapter 7 bankruptcy involves a Trustee selling some of the bankrupt person's assests, deemed non-exempt during the filing of the bankruptcy. Yet, at the Sacramento, California Self-Help Legal Center, a legal representative apparently filed all of my Chapter 7 bankruptcy assets as completely exempt. In that case, therefore, what kinds of assets, or non-assets, for that matter, could the Trustee possibly have sold on my behalf in order to pay for the debts? more

I needed to change my custody agreement with my ex-husband. Of course he wanted to make it very difficult for me. I tried to go to the court and do it myself and they were so packed after 2 days of waiting with no help I was becoming very distraught. A friend told me that a paralegal could help me. I was a little skeptic since I wasn't really sure what that was. She gave me there number telling me they helped her with the same situation and the Court nailed her ex. From the moment I called them they were very professional and answered all my questions right over the phone. I was short on money and was thrilled to discover they did a payment plan. I married the wrong girl and Affordable Legal Aid helped me get through the divorce process quick and easy. Most everything was able to be done through the mail. Any time I had a question the staff was always helpful. I never had to go to court and I wasn't charged an arm and a leg. The name isn't a lie, they truly are affordable. Bankruptcy is no fun, and can be stressful. However, the staff at Affordable Legal Aid made this process easier than I had imagined, and far less stressful than I thought it would be. A co-worker of mine shared with me that he was facing some of the same financial trials I was and that he had gotten immediate relief from Affordable Legal Aid Inc. He gave me their phone number and it only took 1 phone call to realize that I was in Good Hands! I scheduled an appointment right away and due to the personal care I received my wages are no longer being garnished and I am debt free! DANG! I wish I would have known about Affordable Legal Aid Inc sooner. I won't mention where I work but will say that there are several people whom I work with who have used the services of Affordable Legal Aid Inc for a lot of different matters and continue to do so. We have had two opportunities to use Affordable Legal Aid in the last few years; once for a dirvorce and secondly for a bankruptcy, and on both occassions we were extremly pleased with both the service and the outcome. I have to seriously question the professionalism and judgement of this law office as they have threatened to sue me twice now. Once because they refused to honor there own contract with giving me a refund and then telling me if I continue to contact them regarding the refund, they were going to sue. I thought that would be perfect seeing as they are only breaking their own law and replied to them to go ahead with it and of course they never did. They did indeed give me my refund the next response. Months later, I get a call from the office assistant that they are going to sue me AGAIN for having wrote another negative opinion on Google. If they know anything about law, they'd realize this is an open/public forum for feedback and reviews. So my reply again: SUE ME! I haven't had to deal with this weird and childish behavior since grade school. I hope the business hires more professional and respectable people who actually know what they are doing and when it's even legal to sue someone before there rinky dinky shop plummets.
