Best Handyman in Chicago! 1/15/2009

I met Martin by accident. You see I was looking for a handyman to fix the work of a handyman who preformed a crappy job and ignored my calls. I found about Martians company from a friend who spoke very highly of his services. I called Martin and he came out the next day to provide an estimate. His estimate was the lowest of the 3 companies I brought in and his reputation was by far the best. Today is 1/15 and it may just be the coldest day in years. My scope of work required both interior/exterior repair work (meaning he had to be outside). The typical Chicago contractor would have called to reschedule, not Martian. He showed up on time and did an amazing job. He was extremely professional, quick, clean and a pleasure to work with. If only I knew about him months ago. Great service and prompt response 12/18/2008

Martin was great. He called me to set up an appointment, was exactly on time, and was able to replace my bathroom faucet in no time. He even was able to take the old faucet and send it in to the manufacturer for a rebate for us since it was under warranty. He is courteous and listens to your needs. I highly recommend going with Martin. more

Martin has done work on our townhouse multiple times over the last several years and he has been nothing short of great. We have had many bad experiences with contractors and handymen, but have only positive things to say about him and his helpers. His bids are spot on, the prices are very reasonable, he shows up when he says he will and the work is very high quality. Excellent service 10/30/2008

I was searching for a handyman to install a new garbage disposal and contacted several different services I found on the web. Affordable Handyman responded right away with a quote, dates and times that week and the hourly rate was extremely competitive with the few other companies that did respond. After 3 weeks, there are some some services I still never heard from. After exchanging e-mails with Martin to confirm the appointment, he showed up and was very courteous, explaining everything he was doing throughout the entire process. As it turned out, an additional pipe was needed to complete the work and he drove to a local hardware store, picked it up and was back in no time to finish up. I could not have been more pleased with the services provided by Martin - of Affordable Handyman. He was prompt, courteous, efficient and as professional as he could be. Extremely pleased 7/18/2008

I contacted Affordable Handyman (""AH"") to hang / anchor several heavy mirrors and paintings in my home. AH was able to accommodate my busy schedule and make an appointment quickly and conveniently. Once the handyman arrived (on-time, if not a little early), he was professional, meticulous, patient, and experienced in the task at hand. All debris was cleaned up and the project turned out beautifully. As an added bonus, the project came in under-budget. Highly recommended. more

Reliable, Great Quality and Attention to Detail, Finished Ahead of Schedule 3/30/2008

I recently hired Martin and his crew to paint the main room and office in my apartment and for some repair to my backdoor. I am really happy with the experience and the quality of their work. Martin offered great advice on paint and finishes. They arrived on time and worked diligently. They also finished a three-day job in two and left my apartment cleaner than when they started.
