I was very disappointed to see the condition of the adventure science center. Half of the activities were out of order. I expected a center with more scientific based facts and more advanced activities due to the sponsorship of Vanderbilt's Children's hospital. It could just be that I'm used to Orlando and Tampa's science centers...but I expected a whole more out of Nashville. It was not worth the eight bucks for the half an hour we were there. They should be attracting not just younger children, but middle school and high schoolers as well. The activities were just too basic and didn't offer anything to make a playful science center fun and informative. more

Adventure Science Center 3/19/2006

I can vividly remember a field trip to the Adventure Science Center over 15 years ago. The museum updates its exhibits frequently and provides not only educational but interactive exhibits that are fun for the whole family. I love taking nieces and nephews when they're in town and they always look forward to the trip. It is an excellent value for the cost of admission. more

Fun and educational! 11/13/2005

We went to the science center a few months ago, and had a wonderful time. The kids loved the giant play structure in the middle, especially the slide. We caught a show in the planeterium, and even my 2 year old stayed intrested in it. One thing that I disliked was that it can be hard to keep track of the kids if you have more then one, but other then that it was perfect. Free admission to members of the military and their families on Sunday, and free parking! more

This was a fun time for my family. This place is packed with exciting scientific exploration. There is lots of hands on learning, which is lots of fun not only for the kids, but for the adults. This place is really on e of those fun places you want to go back to. Fun for all ages. more

The best in our area. 8/1/2005

The science museum isn't that great in comparison to museums for children in other cities, but it is pretty nice for something to do in Nashville. They have a multilevel educational play area that ends in a dome on the top of the building. It is difficult to watch more than one child in this though, because in one slide they are on another floor of the building. I always crawl in and do whatever my son does with him, so I'm not sure what the logistics of taking two children in would be. I would say that it is priced about average, with a yearly membership available. more

great place for kids 7/18/2005

THis is a great interactive science center and museum. It is a great place to take your kids. They have interactive exhibits and a great planetarium. You can spend quite a bit of time there. I took my son there when he was younger and he went to summer day camps there and had a blast! more
