I am a student who was going on a trip that was planned through the school and the school chose the travel agency. I have never personally dealt with a travel agency before but after this experience I don't ever want to again. \r
\r
The travel agent we used was named Sally Curtis and she did not even bother to check to see if we, the students, had our names spelled correctly on our plane tickets. This shows a great deal of laziness and lack of detail. \r
\r
When we called to get this changed we dealt with very unfriendly people who were unresponsive to our calls and e-mails for two weeks. We had to go straight to the airline, by calling them and telling them about our situation. Which they promptly fixed by putting a simple note in our folders about the misspelled names.\r
\r
After this ordeal I would suggest just booking trips on your own since apparently they'll let just about anyone work as a travel agent in this day and age. Because I can see how hard it is to just do something as simple as pay attention to details, especially important details like customers' names when traveling internationally.
