The support staff is knowledgeable and skilled in making sure your experience from the beginning is a healing one. You can expect that the initial session will entail looking at all of the factors that may be contributing to your pain and limitations, after which you and your Advanced Rehab Physical Therapist will together determine a plan to get you better. You may receive manual therapy, spinal or extremity manipulation, modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation and a progressive exercise program. We use Pilates methods of training and have a full Pilates studio. You will also be given a progressive home exercise program to ensure your continued success and healing for when you are not in therapy. Once your therapy is complete and you are back to full health and well being, your physical therapist may meet you at your gym to help set you up on a program there and / or you may continue with Pilates classes at the clinic if you like.It often happens that patients get sent to a physical therapy clinic where they do not get the results expected. Those patients often end up coming to Advanced Rehab and getting better. You don't have to accept less than the best, you can choose to come to Advanced Rehab first, saving you time and resources. We will not try to sell you on any fad items or time frames for healing as we utilize proven and respected treatment methods and understand that each person is an individual with individual issues and needs.Time frames for healing can be altered by a person’s lifestyle ie: if you smoke your time frame for healing will be longer etc., exercise habits; the more fit you are to start with and the better you follow through the faster you may heal. Generally the longer you have had a problem, the longer it may take to heal as after 6 months the body is no longer healing and that process will need to be re initiated. No person can tell you they will have you better in 4-5 visits nor can they tell every person it will take 80 visits- you are special, each and every person is different, we find what is needed and provide that in as timely a fashion as possible and give you a variety of choices for how to proceed ie: if you can only come once a week we will work with that, if you are able and want to get better faster, we can be more aggressive in treatment, you decide what you are able and willing to do, and we will honor that!We offer advanced education and expertise to treat the following conditions and many others:Motor vehicle accidentsWorker's comp injuriesTraumaLow back pain; herniated discs, stenosis, spondylolisthesis etc Neck & shoulder pain Post surgical rehabilitation Headaches Neuro rehabilitation Sports injuries Repetitive strain injuries Balance re-training
