I am scared to death of doctors and anything medical, so this glowing review of a group of doctors is a very rare one! I am a patient of Mary Gootjes and she is so wonderful to me - very kind, patient, reassuring, gentle and helpful. She understands my fears and usually talks me through procedures so that I understand what she is doing and why. In addition, she answers any questions that I have and never makes me feel like it's a stupid question. I am so blessed to have her for a doctor.
I have also seen the other two doctors, Patty LaGrand and John LaGrand, and both of them are great as well. They made me feel at ease and didn't act like they were in a hurry to move on to the next case. I have seen doctors before that made me uncomfortable but that is not the case with these doctors.
In addition, the nursing and administrative staff at Advanced OBGYN are teriffic. I have accomplished many things over the phone with them before, and Dr. Gootjes' nurse will often help me or diagnose something over the phone so that all I have to do is get a prescription at the pharmacy and not have to go in for an appointment. That is much appreciated! I am very thankful to have found this clinic.
