They are friendly and helpful. I don't feel like they are trying to rip me off or recommend unnecessary repairs. In 2 visits I've had them replace a fuel pump, ball joints, radius, & do my alignment. I have not had any problems with my vehicle and will continue to do business with the company.\r more

It is easy to get an appointment at a convenient time, they provide courtesy transportation if needed, their employees are helpful and friendly, prices are fair, and the quality of their work is excellent. One of the fears of being a woman with very little automotive knowledge is being an easy target for preying mechanics looking to pad the bill. However, the OPPOSITE has always been my experience at Advanced Auto Repair in Denton. They are always explaining everything, telling me ways I could save money, explaining what needs to be done right away for safety and what could wait if I didn’t have the money right then. They’ve gone the extra mile and did little freebies without being asked. They have a pick up and drop off service for free that has helped when I didn’t have a ride! Always kind and courteous, never ever makes you feel dumb when you ask questions. They back up all the work they do 100%. I can’t recommend them high enough!\r more

These guys were fantastic! Robert was very helpful in communicating with me while I was at work. They got the repairs done to my car before scheduled and the cost was less than what they originally quoted. I myself work in heavy equipment repair and understand how shops are supposed to work and this shop is a bright and shining example of personable, quality customer service. I will go back any time I need repair work done.\r more

My son's car broke down in fort worth and I found these guys on the Internet. I was so lucky. They are so honest and helpful. They actually told me not to put any more money into the car because the engine was failing. If I lived in the Denton area I would use them all the time. Don't forget to show your AAA card for a discount.\r more

superb service 3/26/2010

I run an auto repair shop in Austin, and one of my guys screwed up a repair on a 95 Civic. On the way back to Denton, my customer discovered he had no headlights. I put him up in a motel over-night, and the next day he took it to a chain store where they gave up after charging [me] $100, and said they could not fix it. \r \r In desperation [since it was our fault], I went on line and found Advanced Auto Repair, where I spoke with Chuck. He said to bring it in, which I had my customer do. They found a faulty fuse in a few minutes, and charged me nothing.\r \r This is when you know you are dealing with top-flight professionals, who care, and who really want waht's best for the customer. \r \r Advanced had all kinds of opportunity to 'put it to me,'' and instead dealt in a professional, and kind fashion.\r \r Give them ten stars - they deserve it. Best auto repair shop I've found! 10/14/2008

I've been using Advanced Auto Repair for over 2 years and I'd like to say this is one of the most honest shops I've ever been to. I trust them completely. \r \r One of the things I particularly like is that they keep an eye on my auto so I don't have to worry about being stranded somewhere. My auto is a 1997 Rodeo with plenty of good miles left in it. Every time I go in for an oil change or a repair, these guys go over it with a fine tooth comb. They use very sophisticated equipment that finds problems other shops sometimes miss. I find that very reassuring. \r \r They always give me a detailed report of what they found... they tell me what is critical (if anything) to fix now... and what they are keeping their eye on to make sure I can feel confident in my travels. It's good to know an honest mechanical repair shop and I've recommended them to my friends. Pros: They provide a free ride to home or work & back. more

Tommy learned of our problem and SET EVERYTHING RIGHT, giving us a full refund and thorough explanation of the services and charges in question. Very good, honest mechanic 7/29/2008

Advanced Auto Repair is the only shop to service my car. The manager is professional and very knowledgeable. They are always thorough in explaining the repairs that are needed on my car, and they point out which repairs are vital and which are maintenance. They are also great at saving me money (like the time Chuck told me about a safety recall, which had not been performed yet). After they finished my tune-up and changing my belts, they took my car to the dealership, and had the recall completed while I was at work. I was not charged anything extra for their time. Advanced Auto is reasonably priced, a bargain really for the services they provide. I have not been to another auto shop since. The mechanics are great! More than capable, honest, and realistically priced--everything one looks for in a mechanic. Pros: Online appointments, professional, free shuttle service Cons: none found more
