I needed to have the outlets replaced in a condo that was recently sold. The outlets were not in compliance with the city's code according to a home inspector. I needed to have the work done ASAP before the real estate closing. Chris said his entire crew was working on a large job that was nearing completion but he scheduled my job and it was completed on a timely basis. The electrician was fast and efficient. I manage a community health medical practice for the un/underinsured. Our outdoor lights identifying the practice have never lit up in the 8 years I have been here. I was even told that our one sign, which is 4 stories off the ground, was unreachable for repair except by a sign/or billboard company. Advance was timely, professional, courteous to our patients and economical, which was a really important factor for this type of medical practice. They had the equipment to reach the "unreachable" sign, and had these two old signs brightly lit within hours. I would definately utilize them again, both professionally and personally. more

Honestly, I'm very happy with Advance Electrical Contractors. The guy Chris sent over was top notch. I'm a contractor myself, and he did exactly what I asked of him. I was totally pleased. I've used them several times over the last, probably five years, and they have always showed up exactly when they said. There were some things that I thought could not possibly be done that they did. As a contractor, I totally rebuild houses, but I don't touch electrical stuff. I'm terrified of it. I've used Advance Electrical quite a bit and they always deliver. Their prices are super. They're not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but I would never call anybody else. I'm actually having them come over to do more work in a couple days. Some people might need an electrician once every five years, but I use these guys every couple months. more

I had water damage so I hired a contractor to fix it. He hired a sub-contractor who it turned out wasn't really an electrician. I ended up finding Advance Electrical Contractors online and after I read their reviews, I decided to give them a call. Ryan came out and he had to totally redo the wiring and rewiring the other guy had done. He did a great job at a good cost. He was very professional and personable. He came back to install the lights and fans. He even assembled everything for me, which I totally wasn't expecting and was a nice surprise. I would definitely use them again! more

I called Chris the night before because he did the previous installation of the equipment and electrical things. He was very open to the idea of helping, so he assisted us and was just a lifesaver. I thought Advance Electrical Contractors did a really good job. They were very good, and the job went very smoothly. They responded to all my calls, and if they were not there, they called me back in less than a day. I was impressed with Chris, his company, and their service. There was one issue, but it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't Chris' fault, just one of his workers. I am the maintenance mechanic for a Spanish firm in Milwaukee, and Advance Electrical Contractors has done everything from wiring new machinery, to having feeders put in, to trouble shooting equipment. I have been using them for about 5 plus years. He is very knowledgeable and able to configure things in the best way possible without having to always go back to his office. He has everything at hand that he needs, and he figures out what to do. They are a very reliable, dependable, and economical company. We had a job that they recently bid on, and there was a big discrepancy in price with Advance Electrical Contractors and everyone else. Not only are they economical, they are also very thorough. He mentioned things about our environment and job that the other contractors bidding did not. We had a panel surrounded by water, and he was the only contractor that brought up the fact that we would need the option of waterproofing it. It was shocking, literally, that no one else brought that up. He is thorough is able to accommodate what the inspectors are looking for. He is very knowledgeable about dealing with inspectors and keeping everything to code. He is comprehensive when looking at our jobs. Electrical, alarm systems, and camera systems are all things he is very good at. Advanced Electrical Contractors also has a lot of resources that he works with. When we needed our system online the people he chose were very knowledgeable and helpful in getting us up and running. I recommend him because of everything he has done for us, and the way he has treated us. I would give him a 5+ if I could; I would recommend him any time. more

I had a duplex I bought years back that was partially remodeled. When I went to sell it I realized that the prior owner did not pull permits for everything. The city told me that I needed to have everything looked at and certain things done because I needed permits. I automatically assumed responsibility when I bought it, so I was between a rock and a hard place. I got three estimates. One of the people kept saying that he was running late over and over, and his quote was terrible in my opinion. I didn't like the other guy either, because I felt that even I knew more about electricity than he did. Chris, at Advance Electrical Contractors, was between the two prices, towards the low end, and when he came out he was very friendly and knew what he was talking about. His two electricians came out, and they were good electricians. I was comfortable enough with them to leave the key for the next time they came out, so that they could open and close the house for themselves. They went through the entire permit list. They did an excellent job. When they were done everything was cleaned spotlessly. Everything functioned perfectly that they did, and everyone was personable. Everything passed except that the city wanted the garbage disposal hooked up, but they hadn't included that on the initial list. Even though the city had neglected to put that in, Chris had his electricians come back and hook it all up. He didn't charge me anything extra because he said it was part of the code of compliance. I thought that was great, because he had a lot of room to be shady if he had wanted to be, but he is not like that. I don't run into that much anymore. He said that even though the city didn't put it in, the estimate given was to get everything up to code and so he would stick to the quote. We bought a new house, and they had converted the basement into a family room with unfinished electrical work. Advance Electrical Contractors is going to be the company I call for the work. more
