Now I suspect that some reviews are so positive that you might suspect that an employee wrote the review, but I promise you that I am totally unaffiliated with Advanced Auto on Bearrs Ave., and had never been in the store until last night. Lawrence the manager and the other employee there were extremely helpful. It was almost closing time and I had a dead battery that I had AAA jump for me. I went into my house to purchase a battery from this store online after AAA left and the battery was jumped and had at a nice discount, lined up online but kept putting in the wrong security code on the back of my card (it was rubbed off) and I was putting in the wrong 4 numbers not realizing they were incorrect. To make a long story short, the bank drafted out the price of the battery 3X and when I called them they said it was approved but AAP on Bearrs didn't see any record of the transaction. I called AAP's customer service and Joe there said the 3 transactions were all declined. So, I have my dead batter w/ the car idling at home and can't order the darn battery, and my funds were gone out of the account so I couldn't now make the purchase in the store. After I got it straightened out w/ the bank, I called Lawrence up and asked him if he would honor the discounted price online even if I came into the store. No problem. If I had bought t in the store, it would have cost me another $40 extra. He and the other employee were very courteous and I got the battery installed in under 10 minutes for free and at the discounted price. They couldn't see the price, but took my word for what I said it was. Thanks AAP for making the customer happy, I know a lot of other businesses that would have given me the run around and I wouldn't have been able to get the dead battery replaced. Thanks for the great customer service.
