Since this is a no-kill "shelter", they are very selective about which animals they will LET you adopt. We were taken aback and insulted when we were told we could not adopt the animal we chose. But, we ended up with a cat that we love.
However, the cat has a vomiting problem that scares my children to death, and we were told she would just need some time to adjust to us. Well, it's been a year and she still vomits frequently - and she did it while being cared for by our vet, so we know it's a chronic condition that they did not disclose.
