I live close by this station and routinely stop in (sometimes more than once a day). The employees know me and treat me very well. I usually use a debit card for my purchases and have never had a problem. I bank here in Freeland, so I know that even if there is an issue, I can expect that I could use another form of payment without a problem.\r

Recently, I made a purchase and their system declined my card. I thought nothing of it and used a check. On a subsequent visit, the Station Manager told me that the employee should not have taken my check and she would not accept any transactions by card or check until ""her"" system accepted them.\r

Because I was concerned abou this, I checked my account online. I was very distressed to find that despite the fact that I had thousands of dollars in the account I used, ""her"" system declined a $6.00 transaction.\r

This is not the actions of a local gas station. I understand the need for controls and procedures, but when regular customers come in, I would expect that management would make allowances for those that spend a lot of money on a regular basis.
Pros: Good employees, friendly
Cons: Management inflexible, unwilling to work with unexpected situations
