He carefully listened to my ideas for the design, annotated the sketch with his own notes, and allowed me to see the wax models and clarify my vision for the finished product. When I first started looking for a jewelery story that could make a custom ring for me I was very disheartened because I didn't feel comfortable in any of the places I visited. When we came to Adeler I felt comfortable right away. I wanted a custom engagement ring that was very different than the normal diamond solitaire ring most people get. I came with ideas and sketched it out for Mr. Adeler and right away I felt that he understood me and what I was going for. And then he made it a reality that surpassed even what I had imagined. My future fiance and I had a wedding set with great quality diamonds that we bought for a steal but the setting was way to princessy for my taste, so we decided to have them redesigned into something that was more me. Neither of us are the type of people to "have a jeweler" so after scouring the web we decided on Adeler Jewelers. Even though the store is in an upscale area, and they have jewelery I couldn't even DREAM of affording, George and his daughters made us feel totally comfortable. He sat with us for over an hour and worked with us to find a design that was right for us and would maximize the stones we had. George talked us through every step of the process and told us why some details worked, and why certain details worked better; we got to learn about jewelery making (which I thought was the coolest part of the process) while creating a ring. Armed with our new knowledge, we created and ended up with a ring that was nothing like what I thought I wanted, instead it was something that I thought I couldn't have for the price, the coolest one of a kind art deco ring. My style leans to the retro side, so though it might not be everyone's taste, my ring is perfect for me. ...but I came to Jose with two pair that i wanted to use as side stones for an engagement ring. he sat with me for about an hour to get a feel for exactly the type of design that would merit such a unique choice of diamonds. we developed an ebb and flow of drawing and discussing details that finally lead to a design that was truly one of a kind. Jose quoted me a price that was within my budget and we moved forward with creating the ring. the ring turned out better than what we created on paper. it may look unassuming, but within it's details reside a well thought out design that leaves a profound impression on anyone who examines it closely. the cost of creating the ring went above the originally quoted price by almost $1,000. but Jose remained true to his original quote and did not charge me for any additional cost overruns. saying i'm pleased doesn't accurately describe my experience with Adeler Jewelers. i trusted them with one the most important moments of my life and i'm happy they were there to help. more

I would give Jorge and his daughters 10 stars if you could give that many. I have known them for years and most recently, Jorge designed my engagement and wedding rings. We wanted something a little different with a sapphire for the engagement ring. Not only did he provide us a stunning collection of stones to choose from, he took what we described as a design and turned it into exactly what I had in mind. I was searching for a diamond tennis necklace to give my wife for our tenth anniversary. I found great one in a jewelry store in downtown DC, but stopped by Adeler Jewelers before buying. I am really happy I did. Jorge sat down with me, we sketched out an even better necklace with bigger and better diamonds and Jorge produced it in his workshop for less than the downtown store was charging. In my opinion there is absolutely no reason to buy quality jewelry without talking to Jorge first. Plus, the level of attention and service provided by Adeler Jewelers is amazing. I walked into Adeler Jewelers with a fixed budget, but a desire to get something nice for a special occasion. Jorge worked with me to find just the right piece from his collection, although I wish I had gone earlier so that he could have created a custom piece for me. He was great. Although some of the display pieces were 100x what I was planning on spending (literally), I didn't feel out of place, and Jorge took great care of my needs. I will absolutely be back to him for my next purchase - although this next time I'll do it 'right' and give him the time he needs to make something custom for me. more

First I would like to say that George is a gentlemen and of the highest character. He treated my wife and I with the utmost kindness and bent over backwards to accomadate our limited price range and short time frame (I gave him one week to make 3 rings). He treats all of his clients fairly and graciously regardless of their price range and age. The rings are beautiful, trully amazing. However George offers more then fine jewelry, he offers trust, kindness, and a lot of humor in his transactions. It must be noted that he is a family man that his business is a family business and his desire at this point in life is not to gold plate his retirement but instead to pass on satisfied and loyal customers to his wonderful daughters and lovely dogs. I had the opportunity to meet Jorge Adeler when my parents wanted to create an heirloom ring for me.
