Adams Towing & Recovery

DO NOT USE ADAMS TOWING - I don't know why AAA contracts with them and risks their reputation with these guys. I've seen where other AAA members say they were going to tell AAA to NOT send an Adams truck if they're stuck. Maybe if AAA hears enough complaints they'll reconsider ever sending them. Tow truck driver was full of misinformation and how our truck did not need a tow. What? He didn't want to be bothered? Result was serious damage to the engine. Who knows, maybe Adams had a more lucrative call come in where they could impound someone's car for being in a no parking zone and demand gobs of cash. This should be a no-brainer for AAA. Check out Adam's BBB rating. I've never seen an F before. A ""C"", even a ""B"", you are trying and just not very good. An ""F"", you just don't care. more

AAA sent them out this morning. The driver didn't want to do the work and made numerous excuses as to why it wouldn't be paid by AAA. He apparently didn't want to do the work, and being a member, I was not going to pay for the work when his attitude was clearly dismissive and it would be covered by my membership. He left me stuck and I had to get assistance elsewhere. I would not recommend. Unfortunately, from the employees' reviews, they don't treat them with respect either. You'll definitely want to choose another company if you want the job done. more

The above listed review about Adams Towing in Burlington is 100% accurate. I work for them for 1 day, was told I had to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That was back in August and I still havent been paid for it yet. I filed a claim with the nc wage and hour division, havent heard back from them yet. I had other drivers tell me about towing cars from state to state with merchandise in it thats illegal. They tow for AAA, I guess AAA doesnt care about its members to allow a company like this to tow for them. I have just sent a letter to the nc attorney generals office with details of all I was told, maybe they can force them to do people right because its pretty clear, adams towing thinks they are above the law. more

If your in the GSO area and need a tow, DONT call Adams Towing. They force their employees to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I personally know 2 former employees who quit and Adams Towing refuses to pay them. Both have filed claims with the NC Wage & Hour Dept. Ive had a few of their drivers tow my car only to inform me illegal substances are involved, as in transporting them. I have AAA and have been told they are the only company in the area who tows for AAA. I have a hard time believing AAA would use a company like this to represent them. Ive written AAA about my concerns however they have yet to address these issues. If your a AAA member and need assistance, DEMAND they get another company besides Adams Towing to serve you. Just because AAA wants to be a part of this company, doesnt mean we as customers have to also. more
