Hands Down best Muay Thai gym in town 11/10/2011

This place is awesome! They have a great atmosphere for working out, its fun and upbeat and the people there are great. Everyone is so nice and work with you no matter what level you are on. This is not just your average martial arts school, it is a great place to workout, get in shape, loose weight, and have a ton of fun learning the art of Muay Thai / Boxing. The Pricing is ridiculously cheep and very straight forward. They offer 3 and 6 month paid in full pricing as well as a buy one year get one year paid in full special that is a steal. All of which come with an extra free month of training and a free t-shirt. Or you can do a 1 year commitment with monthly installments for $109.00 down (this gets you a free month and free t-shirt) and then just $49.00 per month (this is what I went with). They also offer a month -to -month open end option, but just don't advertise it. When signing up they are very friendly and explain everything very well. The gym and instructors are all awesome and are legit Martial Artist. They only place in town that I have found with qualified instructors for the art of Muay Thai. They even have signed legit certificates on the wall to show that the instructors are the rank / level that they claim to be. All in all a great place to train and learn the arts of Muay Thai, Boxing , Kali Silat, and Eskrima. more

My son loves this place! Pros: great kids class more

Good training but you should avoid the membership contract. 11/20/2007

The gym and the instructors were very qualified and competent. The membership contract however is one to avoid. You are required to sign a one year contract for membership in this gym. As of this writing the gym does not offer contracts of shorter length. That contract is administered by a company called AFS which is American Service Financial out of Colorado. The way the contract is written you agree to pay for one year whether or not you attend and the contract is written with an automatic rollover to ""open end month to month""at the end of that agreement. \r \r Problem is its deceptive. Section B of the contract indicates a dollar certain that you pay to this AFS group. The rollover says nothing about continuing to pay AFS but thats what happens as AFS continues to deduct from your account after the contract term listed in Section B is completed. Additionally, in the copy of the contract that the gym sent me there is no indication that the gym will continue to bill through ASF at the end of the contract term nor are there any instructions on how to cancel the open end portion of the contract with ASF. The gym owner indicated that I would have the ""option"" of continuing on a month to month basis"" after the 12 months was up. What actually happened was I got automatically rolled over through this AFS outfit. So here is what I recommend. \r \r 1. If you are not interested in a one year contract talk to the owner about a shorter contract say 3 or six months. If that is not acceptable to him then I would suggest that you look elsewhere for training. \r \r 2. If you do sign their one year contract check the box in section 8 marked non renewable. That will prevent this AFS outfit from being able to bill you after the 12 months. \r \r The training itself is top notch and above board. Too bad the money side of the equation is not handled in the same way as the training.\r Pros: instructors Cons: membership contract more

Best Muay Thai School in Tulsa 11/12/2007

I am a member at Adams Muay Thai and I do not agree with the above review. Everyone has the right to there own opinion so here is mine. I am a woman for one and love the workout, In my experience the owner and staff have been very helpful. I have been a member for a year and 3 months and never once seen or heard of the owner being money hungry. Before you sign the contract you should read it and ask tons of questions if you dont do that, that is not the owners fault. all the paperwork is explained and gone over. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to learn the art, discipline and respect, in my opinion he teaches the true art of muay thai. Pros: great workout, spacious facility and great staff! more

Scam: Trouble with business bueau 4/23/2007

myself and three other people have had trouble with this place and its owner. this man will tell you how many awards and certifications he has obtained in his career the minute you walk into his place, but what does all of that matter when he doesn't apply the philosophy and true meaning of the sport. this place is out for your money, and as long as you're a member, they'll find a way to keep you there. \r they've been in many desputes with their customers. several times for false contracts. would you want to go to a place like this? read the fine print and ask every question before considering joining. even if the owner gets impatient and pushy, you have the right to know everything they hide. Cons: money-hungry, dishonesty, careless more
