Licensed acupuncturist Tom Williams explains there is quite a bit of difference between Chinese and Japanese acupuncture. One of my favorites is that they use fewer and smaller needles.
Although I do not have a needle phobia, this is good news for those that do! There are over 2,000 specific acupuncture points identified. Japanese acupuncture has been used for centuries (500 A.D.) to heal a broad spectrum of health issues, but it is especially effective with stress-related illnesses, imbalances in the body, as well as our immune and hormonal systems. By regulating the circulatory system, the body beings to balance, repair and heal.
I've been a patient of Tom's since August of 2006. Throughout 2009, both Tom Williams and his colleague Janeen Jones treated me for injuries sustained in a car accident. During acupuncture treatments, I also receive cranial sacral therapy for my neck and head.
I was also given an herbal blend, which helped stop headaches and migraines. I considered their treatments an essential part of my MVA medical regime to expedite a full recovery.
I looked forward to my weekly acupuncture treatments, have enjoyed the benefits and highly recommend their services.
