Find a better agency. Workers spend the visit talking about their problems and/or their other clients, or don't even bother to show up for visits, then call frantically saying they missed a deadline and have to have a home visit that day. They can't seem to figure out a way to help when any problems come up with your disabled relative/loved one, which is what they are supposed to do - facilitate services. I am not sure why they are contracted by the state if any time you need a worker, help with a facility or budget, or anything goes wrong that's technically covered by the program, all they are able to do is say ""gee, I don't know, did you try calling dhs? good luck with that."" There are agencies with more professional staff who don't mind actually helping when something comes up.
