State orders illegal Seattle mover to cease operations more

This review message is for the public as follows:My name is Bob Sanders owner and operator of Action Moving (SEATTLE).I would like a chance to explain the mis information in all of these reviews I believe a few of these reviews are based on 3 other companys with the same name Action Moving.We are the original and only seattle based Action Moving Company in seattle since 1993.Their is another Action Moving based out of spokane Wa. And Action Moving based out of Vancouver Wa.Also Action couriers based out of Sea-tac Wa.We are not affiliated with any of those 3 Action movers which some of these reviews are most likeley about.The first review (digitex) I know nothing about,and I have never called a customer and cancelled at the last minute.And we have never rescheduled a move,unless the customer requested it.The 2nd review (ashleywat) is misleading,that day we sent 2 movers and not 3 as described.She told me their were only a few stairs for the piano to go up,and when we got there it turned out to be14 steep stairs up,we do not move pianos up more then 4 stairs,as that is our policy.They were less then truthful on the information givin to me.I told them they needed to hire piano movers for that type of piano move for the liability factor.The 3rd review (hollyname)is also misleading information.When we arrived and it came time to move the piano they told me only a few stairs and it turned out to be 21 stairs up for the piano not 2-3 stairs as told to me She then explained they were from out of town and didnt really know how many stairs until they got tto their nw place.The 4th review (pederick) we gave this customer 1.25 hours refund off the bill $106.25 to satisfy her compalint about travel time.and for her damaged desk it is made of particle board which we do not insure,as does any one in the moving industry.She was never overcharged ,she was actually undercharged.The 5th review (ustcboulder)i know nothing about at all. 6th review (slanche) we do not take $ up front Pros: GREAT VALUE AVD SERVICE: PLEASE SEE OUR TESTIMONIALS ON OUR SITE. more

Do not use these guys. They have a horrible work ethic, very rude. You can find them at the local China Dragon Bar on Aurora 99, any day of the week tie-ing one off, just before they move your nice furniture. Its no surprise they have horrible reviews on this website. Dont expect this company to stay around much longer. Do yourself a favor and save your money, time, and nice furniture. They should not be in business. Do not use this company. The owner cancelled one hour before the move then proceeded to hurl insults and profanities at me out of the blue, swearing loudly for about 10 minutes before I hung up. Before the cancellation they rescheduled several times only to cancel at the last minute. After reading the reviews I see the owner does this to all his customers. We moved into a new apartment in March 07 and heard from a friend who recently moved that these were one of the movers they had considered using. We didn't follow up and boy was that a big mistake. These guys arrived late and when they did show up, they had one older, overweight man, one stronger guy, and one guy who sat around and bossed the other two around the entire time. We had already moved everything except for 6 pieces of heavy furniture and our piano. Our new apartment had some pretty bad stairs and when I originally called to get an estimate, they said ""No problem, we've seen it all"". When we arrive at the new place, they tell us that it is absolutely impossible to get the piano into the apartment, which is the only reason why we hired movers to begin with. The movers were friendly and pleasant, however, one of them clearly had no care for quality of his job by the way he jammed my solid wood office desk into the elevator. One corner of my desk was damaged when one of the movers fell on my front walk, but I was compensated the travel time it would take them to return to their truck yard. The mover who fell felt genuinely sorry for the mistake. Fair enough. However, they still tried to screw me. Pros: the movers were friendly Cons: the charge for travel time to and from the job; they significantly over charge for that time; movers were late; owner is beyond rude; poor busnessman; poor business practices more

I am so sorry for this pathetic company. It is a shame that they actually have their business license if in fact they do. My sister had scheduled them 3 weeks prior to the moving day. She was told she would recieve an estimate and a confirmation in the mail. It was never sent. She was told by the owner that he did not have enough time to send one. I am sorry but unless I am mistaken, but I believe you can send something in the mail in the state of Washington and it WILL get there within 3 weeks. If I am wrong please let me know. Anyway, they were 4 hours late and no apologies were given. Upon finishing the mediocre job that they did they proceeded to hand my sister a bill for 2 hours of work plus driving time and gas and taxes. They only worked for 1.5 hours and she was never informed of the driving charge or gas charge. The men that were there said they would go to their van and call their boss. They did go to their van but never came back. The next day my sister called the company to find out what they needed to do about the bill and the ""boss"" said he will charge her whatever he wants because he already had her credit card number. He proceeded to tell her she should have given him a fax number so he could have faxed her the comfirmation. He never mentioned that her when they first spoke. He told her he will charge her and he did. He then ended the conversation with a hang up. It is distressing that you can not trust anyone today to do even the simplest of jobs. It has made an otherwise happy day turn into an upsetting and pathetic event. My sister and her husband have only been married for 1 month. Hopefully they can over come this quickly and try to get the word out to as many people as possible about this deceiving and dishonest company. ACTION MOVERS ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!!!!
