Different type of food 3/30/2006

Acropolis Greek Restaurant offers unique food. The Greek salad is good, though I do not care for olives. The lunch specials are affordable and come with salad and a side. They bring bread to your table and the cinnamon butter is delicious. They are fairly quick, though you might not want to go there if you need to hurry back to work. It is not somewhere I would want to go every day, but it is nice for a change in pace. more

Overrated 8/4/2005

Acroplis. Or as I've heard people say (pardon my french) Acrapoli. This is one of the most overrated Restaurants in Evansville for it's price. The menu is very extensive and you have much to choose from. However, one time when you order something it will be cooked wrong and the next time perfect. They seem to err on the side of wrong more often. When visiting there for school gathering we got to sample probably 13 different entrees and appetizers. Of those 13 probably 5 were worth ordering and 1 or 2 was worth the price. The service is great, but I'd try elsewhere first. more

I love Acropolis! 7/22/2005

Food: They have a very large selection of authentic Greek items to pick from. I enjoy their lamb kebobs with grilled vegetables. Also, you must try their Baklava. Delicious! Atmosphere: Very romantic and the decor is amazing. When I walked through the door, it was like taking a trip to Greece. This is a place best suited for romantic dinners with a significant other. I probably would not bring my children here. Service: Wonderful! Our waitress patiently described the food selections that we were not familiar with. She also made some great recommendations. Price: Not bad at all for specialty cuisine. Overall: Acropolis is a wonderful restaurant to visit during a night out on the town. Highly recommended! more

It's Greek to Me 5/22/2005

This restaurant opened in its new location just a few years ago. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice and the average cost is $12-20 for a meal. Meals normally come with one to two sides and their selection of sides is quite extensive. There are 10-15 sides to choose from, include vegetables and tradition Greek sides. more
