I don't go to Acme often but when I do I like to deal with the owner, I believe his name is Mike. I always price parts on Ebay first then go to Acme. Parts are very reasonably priced. Dress warm if your picking parts for a Mercury or Ford in the winter time as it's a long walk to where their kept. I had Acme install a new intake manifold in my 1999 Grand Marquis. They were about half the cost of a Ford/Mercury dealer. The job was done right and not a scratch was put on my car. l will continue to give them my business! Jim in Manteno more

Helpful Crew 9/18/2011

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have a wide range of vehicles and can get you parts they do not have. They guys went out of their way to assist me in locating a hard to find part. They are very busy so getting through on the phone may take awhile. But well worth the wait they take care of each customer with whatever time it takes to make sure they are getting the right part. \r \r This was one of the cleanest yard I have been to. The vehicles are organized and some is in the yard to help if you need it. \r \r I watched the scrap process as I waited and it is amazing. trucks in and out people paid and on their way. The people dropping off recyclable metals seemed to be pleased with the process.\r \r Thank you and I will be back next time I need something! more

Junk Yard 11/9/2005

Acme is a large junk yard that has 100's of cars a trucks and vans where you can call and have used parts pulled for you vechile, all you have to do is give them a call and they can usually have a part ready by the time you arrive at their store, they are pretty reasonably priced and have been in the area for a few years. have never had a complaint more

They were the highest in town with amount ranging from $30 to $100 more than their competitors. Seek your late model parts somewhere else. PROS: None CONS: High prices, indifferent workers more
