I have been a patient for Dr. Ackerman since 1983, when I moved to the area from Canada. Upon my first visit to Dr. Ackerman, he identified numerous problems. Prior to my visit I had little to no opportunity to have regular dental visits. Dr. Ackerman laid out a course of action that spanned over 5 years. It included removal or primary teeth, gym surgery, orthodontics, and ultimately, veneers. There were few, if any, unanticipated surprises. Now, twenty years later I still have a smile I can be proud of, a dramatic change prior to Dr. Ackerman. He is as professional as anyone can imagine, a magician as well. Before coming to see Dr. Ackerman, my smile really bothered me because my teeth were pushed back in the front, too much gum showing in front and gym recession in the back. I am in sales so a nice smile is important to me. I went to two other "cosmetic" dentists before going to Dr. Ackerman. There was no comparison. Dr. Ackerman and his staff took a lot of time and helped me come up with a plan that would not only make my smile beautiful, but my dental health was also taken into consideration. I have known Dr. Ackerman as a friend and as my dentist for the past 18 years. When I first came to him I had neglected my teeth and needed quite a bit of work. Although I had always felt nervous at the dentists he made me feel comfortable and I was very glad to have the work done. I always appreciate his honest and straight forward manner.
