Being a Louisiana native, I was not very impressed with the Acadian Village -- that said, I can see its value for folks who don't have a long time to explore the area (though it's ever-evolving, of course, just like the rest of the world, more authentic ""Cajun country"" can still be found) and also as a historical snapshot. And lastly, I cannot begrudge ARC for its great work. Worth a visit if you are in the area for some reason, but not a reason unto itself.
Pros: good cause, some historical value, good for tourists
Cons: hard to find
