Hiring Academy Roofing to replace my roof, is one of the worst mistakes I have ever made in my entire life. After the work was done, I had to call them back out 3 times as I kept finding debris (including nails) all in my lawn and driveway. Then... after approximately 2 months, I noticed a leak in my upstairs ceilings. I called Academy and they said they would repair the leaks, but that I would have to pay. ARE THEY KIDDING? Obviously, I was not going to throw good money after bad. I hired another contractor who looked at my roof and said that none of the vent pipes on my roof had been secured when Academy replaced my roof, meaning rain water was freely running into my ceiling. I ended up paying that contractor well over $100. to plug all the leaks around the vent pipes. Did I complain? Yes and it got me nowhere. Money and grief is what it cost me. If I were you, I would read all the reviews about Academy before I hired them. more

I used these guys to get a new roof. One of the worst company that I have dealt with. Absolute ripoff and you will get two form of service. TOTAL RIP OFF 12/19/2011

I had a new roof installed 4 years ago. They had to come out 3x (over the 1st 2 years) to fix leaks because of faulty workmanship on the install. Some interior damage they completely ingnored. TODAY, 4 years later, I had a plumbing contractor out because I thought I had a faulty water heater causing a leak that showed up on the kitchen ceiling. NOPE, the contractor said that your water heater is fine, but I can see DAYLIGHT through the roof vent above - IT TOO WAS NEVER sealed by ACADEMY ROOFING! Avoid them like the plague. Academy is only interested in YOUR money! 7/24/2011

Had Academy replace my roof. Made a terrible mess in my attic. When I complained about the mess, they said they would clean it up ... for something like another $130.00. Had to have them back out here 2 times to pick up discarded nails and pieces of shingles, etc. Damaged plants in front of my home. BUT the biggest complaint is I had a roof leak within a few months. When I called they said I was out of warranty!! I wrote a letter to BBB, then Academy called and said they would "look" at the leak, but since I was out of warranty, they would have to charge me a service call. I declined. Several days later, one of their people showed up to look at the leak, but wanted his fee before he would check it out. I explained that I was not going to pay their fee, that I did not request he come out. I had to pay another roofer to repair what I had already paid for. From start to finish, I had a great experience with Academy. Roger, one of their salesmen, met with the insurance company to help us get the hail damage claim approved. He then met with us to explain the whole process and material options. Today the crew, led by Paul, came out and worked diligently to complete our work in one day (small ranch house). They cleaned up well after the job. It looks great and we are VERY happy! more

Fantastic Results and Super Helpful! 6/9/2011

I can't say enough about how helpful Academy Roofing was after my roof was damaged in some of the severe Spring 2011 GA storms. Much of the roof issues were due to age, but Joe was able to show me (and the insurance adjuster) which ones were new (and explain why) and ultimately built a perfect case for getting my insurance to cover the cost. The service before, during, and after installation was second to none. The roof looks fantastic and I couldn't be happier. more

Great Work and Super Helpful!!! 6/9/2011

I had some storm damage at a home I own. I worried that the damage was not sufficient to warrant a new roof (which was badly needed due to age and general state). Joe came by, took the required photos, and drew up a 'map' of the roof showing where specific storm related damage was done. He worked directly with my insurance adjuster and made it very clear what damage was directly related to the storms and made a great case that the adjuster was able to accept and ultimately pay out for the roof. Once all that was taken care of, the crew came by and put on the new roof. I couldn't be happier with the results. They stayed on point with the budget and the roof looks great. I would definitley call Academy again if I ever need roof work done. more

Great company to work with. I had some wind damage to my roof recently. The repairman I talked to on the phone was knowledgeable and took time to explain the details. I was very pleased with the price for the repair and they came out quickly to replace some missing shingles. I would call them again down the road to replaced the whole roof. more

My experience with Academy was great. My wife and I had storm damage from the recent hail storm. I called Academy as I see their yellow vehicles driving around. However, before calling I did some research online to verify how long they have been in business with the Secretary of State. They checked out and I called them to look at our roof. We did have damage and the salesperson assisted us with the insurance process. The roof was replaced and it looks great. The crew was efficient and did a great job. I would use them again. more

Great Job on the Roof 6/2/2011

I was hesitant with any roofing company that comes door to door after the American Shingle scam. However, after researching this company I realized they were legitimate. I called them and they were professional. I love the branding and the replacement process was smooth. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was kind and I would highly recommend them as I had a great experience. more
