I?m an employee at Acacia Animal Health Center and actually spoke to the above person when she called. Dr. Gallerstein did not speak with the above person nor did he ever deny any financial assistance regarding boarding. The person (above) asked if we were participating in the County program and offering boarding at no charge. I advised the owner that we were not. She was too quick to judge and abrupt. If given a chance to explain, then she would have known that we would?ve done something for her mother?s birds. It?s a shame the birds had to spend the night in the car because we would?ve been more than willing to help your mother out. I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Gallerstein for doing such a wonderful service to the community by remaining open during all this chaos. He and his family were evacuated, yet he was determined to keep the hospital open to help anyone in need. For the last few days the lobby at Acacia has been full with several families (who have been evacuated) and Dr. Gallerstein has been supplying them all with a safe haven and plenty of food. Even though he was running on empty (no sleep, worried about his house, his family/friends. Employees)?. By remaining open he took in several animals that needed to be evacuated. Thank you for being there for those in need and thank you for caring. You truly are ?pet passionate? and it shows.
Pros: Staff, large new facility and cleanliness
Cons: can't think of any
