Back in the summer, our motor for the air conditioner went out. I had just had a baby a few weeks before this-so desperate time called for desperate measures. We contacted Mr. Dockery (the owner) and asked him what he would charge for the motor. My husband went to the technicians house, picked up the part and installed it himself!! Mr. Dockery charged us almost $300 for the part and they didn't even have to do the labor! It was absolutely insane. We could have gone to Locke Supply and bought the exact same part for $50. We tried to contact Mr. Dockery several times to let him know that we feel his business practices are unethical. He refused to return all our calls. I even went up to his place of business to attempt to get in contact with him-to no avail. So my husband and I wrote in to the Better Business Bureau and explained the situation. He was required to respond to our complaint and he said that we agreed to the price and basically we were stuck (which we were OK with like I said desperate times calls for desperate measures) but it was the principal of the matter. He said in his response that I was rude to his office manager and I am complete opposite from rude. Firm? yes-but not rude. Heck we were laughing over some things, how is that rude? He also said that he would send us a $30 gift card to Chili's for the inconvience. I know what he can do with that gift card too!
We will NEVER use or recommend Absolute Service Co to anyone. Their practices are very unethical. Just the simple fact that Mr. Dockery wouldn't take 5 minutes out of his day to return a phone call and explain to my husband or me is irritating enough. Poor communication and poor customer service.
