I was good friends with the original owner and his partner in charge of the their repair decision. I gave them a lot of money over the years (3 laptops.. 2 where MBP) (printers, various software and at least 4 iPods. Their service was great, their knowledge was fantastic. It was easier going there then to an Apple store and fighting all of the crowds.
Then, going in to the store 1 day I was shocked to find out that the business had been sold. The only person who was still there was the gentleman in charge of the repair division. I do not know if he is related to the owner or owners. But all I can say is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!. The owner(s) are horrible and are very arrogant. Their sales people must have worked at a toy store. This was solidified when I went in to purchase an iPad 2 and a Mac Mini. My 7 year old MBP finally died. I told a sales person what I wanted and all he said was we do have this in stock, but there is the iPad. And that was it, After trying to get questions answered, (I had to keep asking) I just walked out. In the end I decided to buy another MBP and just ordered it from Apple.
A close friend of mine recently went their to buy a new product and the sales person sold the person the wrong type of item. After spending an hour or so with the device, I realized that this unit would only work on a network. My friend went to return the the item and to explain that what the sales person recommended was the wrong product and would like to just exchange for the right type. The owner FLIPPED out and told the customer to leave.
Times have surely changed, This is a place to stay far,far away from as far a sales go. Best Buy is a better alternative to Absolute Mac. I cannot say anything for the repair department. But they should change the name to Absolute Sh*&&!t.
