I hired this contractor before the ever famous ""Irene"" flood to waterproof my basement and install a new floor. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to go into my basement during the flood and see a dry basement!! Before this everytime it rained I was dreading going into my basement, now I know that it is dry and will stay dry!! The company was easy to work with and answered all of my concerns promptly. Looking to have a sidewalk put in this year by them also. more

I called this contractor (Gary) to get an estimate on my basement. I recently had an issue with water around the foundation. He made an appointment to come and look at it and give me an estimate. I waited 2 hours for him and he never showed or called. I guess he did me a favor considering some of the other reviews for him. more

We hired this contractor (Gary Voss) in August of 2010 to remove our existing basement floor, remove 3 -4 inches of dirt to lower the floor, replace the center supports for the house, pour a new floor, clean and repair cracks in our basement walls and drylock. On the first day of the project they broke one of the screens for my basement windows trying to take it out. On the second day Gary approached me and asked if I would provide more money since he did not properly estimate the time and engery required to dig my basement floor down 3 - 4 inches. On the third day after the walls were supposedly repaired and drylocked I approached Gary again to point out multiple areas where the basement walls were not repaired. Instead of drylock the company used Kilz primer to paint my walls which provides no water proofing. Additional work was performed on the walls which still did not meet the terms of our contract and require additonal effort on my part after Gary had finished. When the floor for my basment was poured it looked very nice until later in the day when I was able to walk on it and inspect it. The new concrete floor has many high and low spots and now 5 months later my new floor has 4 cracks in it. I am very dissapointed in the final product and plan on calling the this contractor on Monday to see what he plans on doing to repair the cracks in my floor. more

Project consisted of a sidewalk of about 25 feet, repairing and smoothing the concrete floor of a 1-car garage, extending the top landing of a 3-step stoop, and smoothing the steps. What we received from the company’s owner, Gary Voss, was a concrete garage floor with numerous ridges and bumps, and concrete steps, both the top of the steps and also the sides, that are wavy and lumpy. Cracks started to develop on the steps after only 1 week. When defects were shown to the contractor, his response was “What do you mean, it’s a perfect job.” Further complaints were met with the contractor interrupting and talking loud, even shouting, as I tried to explain my dissatisfaction. His solution for the lumpy garage was for me to get on my hands and knees with a sanding stone and rub it out myself – “the exercise will do you good – you need it.” He threatened physical violence if I kept complaining. As he left he gave me the finger. Headaches like this no one needs. Pros: He showed up. Cons: Very sub-standard work. Refuses to correct problems. more
