I scheduled a repair call with Absolute Air Services for May 28, 2021 and they quoted me $125.00 for a diagnostic fee. The tech showed up at a little after 8AM. It took him approximately 15 minutes to diagnose that the reason my AC was not putting out cold air was due to a bad flare nut. By 9:30 the repair was complete, and the unit was putting out cold air. The tech was in my driveway for a short while on a call with another tech at another job. He presented me with the bill, see attached, for $756.91 for less than 2 hours of work. The only material was the replacement flare nut and the refrigerant to recharge the system. I was never quoted on the repair before it was performed and, in the area, where it says Customer Signature the tech had signed it, not me. I had service done by Absolute Air Service the prior year and the tech was at my house for about 2 hours cleaning and servicing the same unit and the bill was for $159.53. Clearly the charge of $756.91 is way out of line, beware of using this company and definitely get a quote before they repair anything. This was not an emergency call, there was nominal material used and the tech’s time was less than 2 hours. I called to complain and while the person I spoke to tried to explain the charge there was clearly no justifiable reason for it. She said a Manager would get back to me, today is June 1 and this all occurred on May 28 and no one has gotten back to me. BEWARE!!!!!
