It is a great place to take my dog! My dog Chloe loves Lou and the Jersey shore Pet Resort/Absecon kennel. Lou has known my dog Chloe since she was a baby when we took her there for her training and she is 7 now, Lou is the only person I would trust to watch my dog Chloe. My Chloe gets very excited to go see Lou. All we have to say to Chloe is lets go see Lou or Uncle Lou and she is at the front door ready to go.She goes at least once a month just to see Lou and also get her spa treatment - nails ,shampoo, etc. she has the best time there she also loves the large fenced in yard she gets to play in with Uncle Lou. more

My husband and I moved to Galloway Twp. and had to find a safe place for our 2 cats during all the moving turmoil. We are so glad that we found Absecon Kennel. Our cats had their own large room, with a big window to look out of. Lou Orth, the owner, treated them like his own. I peeked into the dog facilities, and was impressed with their cleanliness. We had always had petsitters, but Absecon Kennel is actually better! You cannot find a better place for your pet than this. more

If you're looking for a wonderful, safe place for your dog/s to stay while you're away, take them to Lou Orth's Absecon Kennel. It's a well-respected family run business that's been around for several decades. It's very clean, well taken care of, and it won't cost you a fortune! more

My dog Percy has a great time ""vacationing"" at Absecon Kennels. The Orth family are very caring and we know he's safe and sound. Percy has been staying there since he was a puppy and also went thru the behavioral training program at the kennel which was terrific. The location of the kennel is great as we can hop right onto the GS Parkway north after dropping our dog there. more

A great place!!!! 3/22/2012

Lou is a very caring individual, I felt like I was a longtime friend not just and average customer. My Anatolian Shepard (Diesel) is my baby. When I picked Diesel up from Lou I received one happy puppy! I will continue to to travel a little further for outstanding service!!! more

Great Kennel 1/7/2012

I have been using Absecon Kennel for over 20 years. There is no other kennel that I would ever consider for my Beagle, Max. They are so friendly, and they truly care about your family pet. The kennel is extremely clean, and every possible comfort is extended to your pet. The dogs are given attention every day with playtime and outside tinme. I never worry about Max when he is staying at Absecon Kennel, I would recdommend Absecon Kennel to everyone!!!! more

Great location and friendly service 1/4/2012

This past weekend was my second experience with Lou Orth and the kennel. Lou is always pleasant and explains all details thoroughly during the greeting. There are so few businesses that remember what customer service is and Lou serves it up best.\r \r My dog always seems excited to visit and of course to come home. He is always clean and full of energy.\r \r I highly recommend Absecon Kennel over all others in the area. more

#1 kennel 8/8/2010

We have boarded our dog at Absecon Kennel for the last 3 years and this year we have boarded her on 3 different occasions.\r \r Lou and his family are so gracious and our dog loves all of them. We use this kennel exclusively ...they are the best! We tried others but we did not like them and most importantly neither did our border collie! more

Absecon Kennel should be 4 Star Kennel 4/27/2009

We used the kennel and their services for the past two years. Our puppy went through the school for training and we were very pleased with the results. The kennel is clean and the owner is very personable. There love for animals truly shows. more

3rd time around... 4/26/2009

In the past 15 years, we have turned to Absecon Kennel for obedience and behavior training. We just had our 3rd dog trained due to signs of aggression. This kennel turned our situation from bad to awesome. We had almost given our puppy to another owner because of his behavior towards our children. We are thankful to Lou Orth for fixing our puppy! I recommend Absecon Kennel to anyone with a dog at home that has issues. As a family with three Great Danes, we wouldn't turn to anyone else for training!! more

As kennels go, it is okay. 9/27/2008

We took our dogs there. They came back safely, but smelling strongly of chemicals. The place is nice and clean, the dogs have their own pens. The facility seemed very into training dogs for self protection or attack. Not the place for our gentle senior friends. more
