I just had my appointment 4/30/2014

I just had my appointment with Dr. Hoover at About Smiles Family Dental. Now I will tell you that I have never posted a review, on anything before. However, my wife, and my daughter, as well as myself, had such a great experience with this office, that I was compelled to write my first review. I am not one for going to the Dentist at all, but from the time we arrived, to the time left, we new we were in good hands. It was the only time I have had a shot in mouth, and literally did not feel it. I asked Dr. Hoover when she was going to give me the shot, to which she replied, I already did, enough said. I give this Dr., and this office five stars, and will recommend her to my whole family. more

I'm so glad 4/22/2014

I'm so glad I finally made an appointment at the dentist. I heard about them on the radio and the DJ said they were good so I decided to check for myself. Very clean and relaxed atmosphere in the office. The doctors there were easy to talk to and I would definitely return. I had my teeth cleaned and Dr. Hoover fixed an old filling for me ... it was so easy and painless! more

After going to the same dentist for 20 years in Houston, then moving to Austin, I had trouble finding a dentist I could trust. I have had a couple of bad experiences at different dentists around Austin, but when I visited Dr. Hoover's office all of my worries were put to rest. It is a nice, clean office, with updated equipment. The staff is very professional and Dr. Hoover is very friendly. They will not try to talk you into anything you don't need, and want your experience to be as positive as possible. The hygienists are very gentle during cleaning, and Dr. Hoover is gentle during the exam as well. Glad I finally found a good dentist in Austin!! more

Bought the groupon 4/1/2014

Bought the groupon for an exam, X-rays, and cleaning. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I liked the digital X-rays and picture that were shown to me immediately on the screen to discuss my treatment plan. Saturday hours are also great for those of us that work M-F. more

The new office 3/21/2014

The new office facelift was super nice, but the staff is the reason to attend. I love their staff and the doctor is always pleasant with a greeting smile on his face. Megan the hygenist is also wonderful. I have gone to them for several years and always enjoy the experience despite it being the dentist. :) more

Just got teeth 3/13/2014

Just got teeth "serviced" today -- cleaning and fillings. Great job, as always. Megan does a super job as hygienist, and the doctor are tops. Always takes time to answer any questions and finished work on my teeth is perfection. more

I have been going to Dr.Smith and his staff now for over 15 years and they have always been so warm welcoming, friendly and supportive of my needs. Their care is excellent and I really appreciated their patience this morning when the numbing medicine caused me to not feel so well this morning. Their help with financing my dental needs was also a plus. Thanks for a job well done.\r more

Dr. Hoover and her staff are amazing!! Our whole family now goes to her. I had some fairly extensive work done in my mouth, and was beyond scared of having this much work done. I guess that is why I had to have so much done, because I had not seen a Dentist in years. I reluctantly sat in her chair, then grabbed the armrests and prepared for the worst. After a couple of seconds, I asked Dr. Hoover when she was going to give me the shot of anesthesia, to which she replied, "" I already did."" I have never had this happen before. My wife had the exact same experience. Amazing!!!! Five stars!!\r more
