After a long day at school I love to stop by and have a beer and a slice of pizza. Their garlic pizza is amazing. The music isn't too loud, there's no smoking, it's just comfortable and they have terrific food. I like to go and do some of my studying there. Growing up in Strong Island, NY, I thought it would be impossible to get a decent slice in Colorado. I've tried just about every place in town. Then I came across Abo's on a trip to Boulder. Abo's is as close to Ray's in Manhattan as you will find East of the Poconos. Good thickness, good sauce, good cheese, toppings are spread out nicley. If you want a great pie out here in Colorado, swing by Abo's. Tell them Mike D sent ya. Pros: delicious Cons: NY prices in CO more

I have to agree with Texzilla's review below. Although this was not the worst pizza I have eaten in Colorado, after two seperate tries I've found the crust to be bland, the sauce lacking flavor and the ingredients mediocre and somewhat under done. It certainly LOOKS like east coast pizza, but the flavor just isn't there. Even after I loaded it up with grated parm and red pepper flakes. It helped, but was still missing the underlying flavors I look for in a top quality pizza. A friend of mine loves this place, but then again he's the kind of guy that scrapes half the cheese off his slice before eating it, so I don't think you can go by his opinion. A slice of NYC in Denver!!! 8/27/2002

By far the best pizza around, straight up no foo-foo gourmet.. Huge slices with that extra spice in the sauce you only usually get in NYC. If you haven't tried it yet you are really missing out! more

Hands down the best of the best in all of Colorado! If you haven't tried Abo's, you're missing out. They have all the best toppings and the best New York Style crust I've had this side of the Mississippi. The price may seem high to some, but if you're a true New York style pizza lover, Abo's is the pie for you and you won't mind spending the extra bucks on one of these babies! Pros: Authentic, Variety, Huge Cons: Costly, May be too big, Makes you feel full more

Suuuper good!! 8/11/2002

I never think the term NY or Chicago really works. I am from Philly and ABO's is straight up, super good East Coast pizza. The location on Alameda and Braodway is the best. I have never been disappointed. The only place i would put next to Abo's is Two Fisted marios and then Downtown pizza. Good stuff! Pros: Excellent Sicillian, Droopy slices, Meal Deals Cons: Veggies not fresh, No Place to sit more

Won't be back 8/10/2002

Got a pizza there the other night and took it home. I had high hopes from other folks who said the place was really good. Let's see...barely cooked, soggy, bland crust combined with raw vegetables and barely heated toppings, Cheese barely melted. Gave 'em another shot at a different location a few weeks later.
