After using the same local repair service for many years, I was unhappy to find they err no longer in operation. I googled for a new local appliance repair service and found Abel Appliance Repair. They came out to fix my dryer the same day I called. The repairman, Jordan, was very efficient and had the dryer working in no time. The guy that Abel Appliance sent over to fix my dryer seemed a bit inexperienced and if I am to call them back I might have to ask for Larry or one of the older guys who probably know more of what they are doing. When you spend $160 you expect that the service that you paid for is completed properly but there was all sorts of issues that came up. After speaking with you today about your experience with us, you said that the problem after all was your dryer vent in your attic which you fixed. Jordan did say he mentioned to you at the time of service that if your dryer vent had issues your dryer would not be functioning properly. Larry came out and diagnosed the problem with my ice maker. Ordered a replacement part, Jordan came out and installed the replacement part and all is working again. more

Called Abel for refrigerator repair. Larry came by (poor guy got a flat tire on the way over), repaired Subzero fridge. Good job diagnosing problem, since fridge would work 'intermittently' & make finding problem difficult. Friendly, smart, and reasonable. He's repaired our washer too. Recommend highly. more

I had a refrigerator door popping every time it opened. When I called Larry at Abel Appliance Repair, he said he'd be out the day after New Year's and he was here when he said he would be. It took the refrigerator apart, fixed it, and was gone within 20 minutes. I had no problems with it. He said he could have replaced the part but all it needed was a bit of grease. Would definitely use the company again. more
