Abby's Dog Depot

My dog never looked better when he goes to Abby's dog depot. He is a Bichion and the cut is a lot of work. Always comes home beautiful and happy. \r Pros: No place better to get a cut for my bichon more

I think it's easy to get upset and jump online to write something negative, but easy to overlook consistently excellent service in the busy day to day. After jumping online to grab the new phone number for Abby's and seeing a few of the reviews I was shocked and opened a CitySearch account specifically to say how great I have found Abby's to be over the 5+ years that I and my family have been going there with all of our dogs. more

I took my dog there for months and loved it. In the last few months they have been taking too many dogs and their quality and care has diminished. They are getting way too overwhelemed and losing sight of what their business is really about. Not to mention the fact that they are completely unprofessional and will hire just about anyone to work there. more

Honestly, we don't normally take the time to leave reviews - whether they are positive or negative. Instead, we tend to share our thoughts and opinions with those directly involved. We compliment people when we are satisfied, and we politely explain to them why, when we are not. more

I switched to Abbys Dog Depot after moving. The location was closer to my home, closer isn't always better. I have brought my dog here 4 times. The first time i brought my dog he came home with a fair haircut and bath. Not great but it wasn't terrible, just fair. As the other reviewers have said or implied, It was very busy there, too busy, I felt as though there was too many dogs and a lot of confusion. The second time I brought my dog, the groomer did not cut the dog to the directions I left with them, which they confirmed with me before I left. When I picked my dog up, I wasnt happy, because the hair cut did not follow the directions left. Despite this I realize mistakes happen. Cons: poor quality, over priced, no attention to detail more

I would not recommend sending your dog to Abbys for daycare or grooming. They hire untrained people who DO NOT know how to work with animals and they expect your dog to basically watch themselves. If you are gonna pay $20 for someone to watch your dog for the day, then I would expect them to interact with them, and be part of the pack with them. Instead they are just thrown outside and not watched. they show you that they have cameras outside and tv monitors inside to keep an eye on them, but she has the same people that are supposed to be taking care of the daycare dogs, grooming dogs in the back, how can they pay attn to a tv screen out near the register, when they are in the back washing dogs??? As far as grooming goes, they take in a mass of dogs and groom them as fast as possible to make the most money. I have picked up my dog with bleeding nails that were cut way too short, and they obvisouly did not pay attention to the blood and just sent him home like that and it ended up all over my backseat. That is a clear sign that they rush their way through grooming if they cant even notice that they made a dog bleed. The owner herself has a little attitude problem whenever you have a complaint or concern. That is not good to keep business with that attitude. I will be taking my dog elsewhere.
