Dr. Abadie took excellent care of my dogs for years. He performs tests quickly in the office, does not order unnecessary tests or suggest expensive foods, shampoos, etc. Most importantly, he was of tremendous help to me remotely when my 16-year-old dog became terminally ill in Austin. The vets I encountered there regarded my dying dog as a cash cow and treated me rudely, but Dr. Abadie interpreted my dog's test results over the phone and educated me about his condition, which saved my dog many additional meaningless tests, crated stays in vets' offices, and even high-risk surgeries in his final days. I will always be grateful to Dr. Abadie and recommend him highly. more

AWEFUL EXPERIENCE! I picked up my 4 pound poodle from Abadie Veternary Clinic from a four night boarding stay this afternoon. Let me predicate this with, boarding was my ABSOLUTE last resort as my puppy usually is able to stay with family and has never been boarded before. I had heard good things about Abadie's boarding services-I have used Abadie Veternary Clinic as our family vet and groomer since my puppy was born and have been very happy with the services there. HOWEVER, today, I picked up my sweet puppy to find her COVERED IN URINE. The cloth crate that she sleeps in was also COVERED IN URINE. I am HORRIFIED and will be searching for a new vet, grooming, and boarding service for the future. Never would I have expected to find my puppy in such aweful condition. She has NEVER been subject to neglect and I will never recommend this place to anyone. more

We've adopted cats from Scott Abadie and used him as our vet for years, until the ride to Harahan from Uptown became too stressful for our aging animals. This clinic is one of the few remaining who doctor pets--unlike so many clinics that view vet practice primarily as a business and find any excuse to add and inflate costs. The entire staff is great. You can have confidence in their care. Abadie, in particular, is personable, informed, and an excellent vet. Don't hesitate to use Harahan Pets.
