Paid over $8000 for a new installation of Central Heat and Air Conditioning. With the first use of the new (state of the art) condensing unit, it froze. The first summer I had to call service over 10 times because of this freezing problem. This Year I have called 5 times, the last time finally the Service Department sent over the supervisor. The supervisor has determined that the unit was either severely undersized or the return of the unit was placed in the wrong location of the house. The renovation of my house cost me over 200,000 and any renovation that was needed was done at the time of the same time. Having to now inconvenience my family for further construction in my house is going to cost this company in the long run. I have already contacted a lawyer and was advised to get 3 separate estimates for the completion of the job. In addition, the cost to run the unit for the last 2 summers is estimated at more than $1000 over the average (given the same house conditions). Having removed all the wall air conditioners (during the renovation) has left me with no AC whatsoever, so approx 5 out of 7 days a week we are left with a house over 80 degrees during the summer nights.
This company has not yet been able to back up their product and they will be hearing from my attorney in the next few days.
