I purchased a motor for my 17 yr old daughter. Auto parts barn says: this is a good motor we ran it and compression was good. I trusted them for there word and a statement of Faith written on the walls and building. I drove over 300 miles round trip for this.. left late at night there IN rain snow etc. I find oil in water rust on spark plugs and metal on pick up tube. If they did a compression test they saw these plugs. There not competent here. Any basic mechanic knows thisis water in the fuel spark chamber. THEY WILL NOT DO THE SIMPLE GOOD FAITH OFFER OF RETURNING MY PRICE MINUS A CHARGE THAT WOULD BE A REUILDABLE BLOCK. They should of known there was a problem. They are hiding behind a term saying if you remove a part then there is no covering this problem...How can you sell a used motor and say you cant replace a part. They towed my car from the side of the road after it was struck by a stray tire on I-90. My fiancee went to go clean out the car and pay the bill. He had to argue with them for two hours before he could pay the bill and wasn?t allowed to see or retrieve any of the belongings from the car. He had a signed title for the car on him at the time. They allowed him after the two hours of arguing to pay the bill for the towing and an overnight storage fee on the conditions that I wrote a letter releasing interest in the car and a copy of my drivers license. I wrote the letter and in the letter stipulated that I wanted to have a friend who lived in the area come back to get my belongings out of the car because we were in from out of town. When my friend went to get the belongings the face for the CD player had been confiscated by the yard, they wouldn?t allow the deck to be removed and they wouldn?t let him take the battery out of the car. The exact wordage of the note is written below with only my name and the name of my friend are with held. ?I (my name was written here) release all interest in the vehicle to Auto Parts Barn Inc. After the evening of the first of August 2008 so that (my friend) can grad a few things out of the car for me. Thanks for your understanding.? This yard was after whatever money and or property that they come across and had no regard for people at all.
