TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/CUSTOMER HARASSMENT 6/1/2010

At the 815 premiere of SEX and the City 2 - the sold out theater crowd was handled very unprofessionally regarding bathroom breaks. The young doorman obviously needs training in customer service and the policeman was very rude. I will never come here again! I was mistreated and harassed. more

My children and I frequent the Elmwood Palace and have never had a bad expirence! The food from concessions is fresh, the service is good, the wait time is not too long, and the theater is clean. The only change I would make is making the arm rests fold up like the theater in Marraero. more

Ritz-Palaceton 6/15/2002

I moved here from MN, and I had a very clinical appreciation of "super-theatres": stadium seating, free butter. But the Palace theatre takes it a step further. First, beautiful two story lobby with oversized windows, clocks, and a lion's head ala the ritz-carlton. Then, fun eats like daiquiris, mochas, and ice cream of the future. Even as you step out of your car in the mammoth parking lot, soundtracks boom overhead to make your stroll in seem quite dramatic. The editorial review claims it's out of the way, but take Earhart Expressway for 7 minutes and you're dumped directly on it's doorstep. There's a new Palace on Clearview and Vets...will it's lack of lions and soundtracks be offset by the only Target in miles next door? Pros: Seating, Selection of Eats, Many Discounts Cons: Price, Selection, Teenagers more

  • In Short
Palace 20 is the most out-of-the-way central station in the local film market. Miles off I-10, you can barely see the state-of-the-art theater from busy Clearview Parkway. Two words: stadium seating. Who thought movies needed any sort of update following the arrival of THX sound? Just when the cinema industry had an opportunity to rest on its laurels, it decided we'd all be better off resting our laurels in plush seats, each a good foot higher than the row ahead.
