This review is for the Irvine and LA office of AMA skincare, as i have been to both of their locations :) . I should have written this review a long time back. I went to AMA skincare first in 2010. I met with Dr. Milgrom about my fracles treatment on face. He took a time and explained me the reason behind getting fracles on face and body. This session was so informative. Then i met Dr. Pien who did my first treatment, and Dr. pien is amazing, when i met her i felt i am in a right hands, i was so impressed when Dr. Pien told me that she tell her patients that they dont need to hold their self back from going outside in sun like in beaches etc.. go outside and enjoy your life. just come once a year to treat your self. Their whole staff is amazing. knowlegable, they take time to listen to you. overall i am so happy with my experience with AMA. i recommend everyone to visit AMA if you are struglling with any skin problems. :):):):) more

OMG!!! I cannot begin to explain what American Medical Aesthetics has done for me. I have always had troubled skin due to enlarged pores, scars from my younger days I had acne :(. What a difference they have done for me. I can go out without makeup my skin is absolutely beautiful. My daughter and I have been going to AMA Skincare on and off for over 10 years for laser hair removal on many different areas of the face and body! The staff is very helpful in obtaining appointments and returning phone calls and you even get a reminder call the day before. I just love seeing Dr. Pien as she's very knowledgeable and caring and offers advice on whole body health and when I have a Saturday appointment, which is great to have that scheduling option, I see Marlene, who is also awesome! They also have some great face products for purchase (Epionce and Epicurien) that I've come to require for my daily facial care regime and the front office staff and technicians are super helpful. For all of the years and $$$ I've spent on waxing, the cost of the laser hair removal is affordable and the best thing is that it's permanent. I have been living with severe cystic acne scarring for about 20 years. I had tried so many treatments and very little results. I gave up and resigned myself that I just had to get used to having a scarred face. Then to make things worse, suddenly at 35 years old, my cystic acne came back worse than ever! It was horrible, a real nightmare. This time however, I was lucky, because a colleague at work told me about the amazing results he had with his acne scars at AMA skincare. Here is my summary: 1. The consultation was amazing. I learned more about my condition in one hour than the previous 20 years. 2. They have a huge array of lasers. Many more than the 4 other big clinics I went to. 3. The doctor customized a treatment protocol for me, that included 6 different lasers, Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, collagen induction therapy, and physiological medicine with acupuncture. 4. I had 4 treatments, one every 4 weeks. They numbed my face, so that I barely felt the treatments. 5. Recovery time was about 2-3 days of looking a bit raw followed by 2-3 days of peeling. I was never in any discomfort. 6. With every treatment I literally saw my skin ""morph"" into young healthy skin again. It was weird and wonderful to see my skin change from the inside-out. The staff are friendly and very caring, and the two doctors who own the clinic are world class experts. Also, Dr. Alice Pien has the most gentle hands and a healing touch. Bottom line: Not only did they make my active cystic acne disappear, my old horrible scars are 90% gone! for the first time in 20 years, I actually like looking at my face in the mirror, and I love the way my new healthy skin feels. more

First of all just want to say that Dr. Pien is amazing! I have been a patient at AMA for a little over 2 years and have gotten amazing results. I live in AZ. and fly out to CA. because I've tried many different places in AZ. and have not had any success. I've been getting treatmenst on my face for dark spots and melasma, and also for strech marks on my stomach and lower back. I'm disappointed that I waited so long to get treatment done because I hated the way they looked and just assumed I would have to live with them. The end results are better than I'd hoped for, my skin is clear and my stretch marks are virtually invisible, I would highly recommend this place! The results speak for themselves. As a make-up artist I am always on the lookout for new treatments and where to have them done. I was looking to get some broken caps lasered and found AMA via CitySearch. I made an appointment. Everyone was very friendly. They had me come in a touch early for the mandatory consult (free of charge) that at first I felt was annoying but it ended up being very smart. It was very clear what I wanted done and what they could do to help. Amy Pien was AMAZING! First of all, she looks great. Beautiful skin. That really makes me feel comfortable. She did an all over laser for redness, caps and brown spots/sun damage. I liked that while she did the procedure she spoke the entire time, telling me what she was doing, every step. I asked questions and got insights into how and why the laser works. I highly recommend AMA and Alice to my friends and clients. AMA has a friendly and expert medical staff. Everyone in the office at the Irvine location that I have worked with, are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. AMA was referred to me by a colleague and since then have found several people that go to AMA not only for Laser Hair Removal, but other skin care needs. Both Dr Pien and her staff always take the additional time to talk to you about what they are doing and why, and answer any and all questions that you may have. My experience at AMA has been wonderful. The staff is great--they are very friendly and helpful in answering all questions. The results of my laser treatments have been amazing. I am hoping to see even better results with more treatments. In addition to the laser, the package also offers hyperbaric oxygen treatments, facial and blue light treatments--so it's an excellent value! They offer superior services not only in laser treatments, but also in facials, hyperbaric oxygen treatments, blue light, weight loss, and more. The medical staff are very knowledgeable in all areas. I have never written a review before, but I am so beyond impressed with the results and services at AMA! I found AMA online and read all the positive reviews and knew I had found the right place. I went to AMA to have my dark spots on my upper body lasered before my wedding. I have looked all around and been to multiple dermatologist and they were unable to help me achieve the results I wanted. I wanted ?perfect? skin for my wedding day, and Dr. Pien is AMAZING!!! She makes you feel so comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is well worth every penny! I am now doing laser hair removal and am over the moon with my results. I have more confidence than ever thanks to Dr. Pien. I will be a definitely be patient of AMA for a long time to come. more

I had the Spectralift.... and let me tell you...this procedure took 10 YEARS OFF MY FACE! HOLY YOU KNOW WHAT! this was the best money I ever spent! I have people coming up to me all the time who cant tell what I did and that's the best part! They are amazed at how good my skin looks! Dont walk, RUN and get this done....they took care of my saggy eyelids, they eliminated my rosacea and my pores are practically invisible! I am going back for the rest of my treatment...I can't wait! I am Asian and have age spots. Any Asian knows, we have stubborn skin and these spots are difficult to remove. I have been to several dermatologists all to no avail. I was referred to AMA by a friend and was skeptical, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to check it out. I was sold within minutes. I had my first treatment a couple of days later. Everyone (including the receptionist) is so knowledgeabe and friendly. They made sure I knew what to expect and how to care for my skin. A week later, I could see the spots were fading and I only had one treatment! It is worth every penny I spent and then some and I normally can't afford luxuries such as this, but they are quite reasonable and have low interest payment plans. I just wanted to share the most educational facial ive ever had. I went to american medical and recently bought a facial package. I started asking Stacey the esthetician a few questions about my skincare. I basically received an advanced class in products and their applications. She definately knew her stuff. not only did I receive a tailored facial that fit my skin I walked away with a feeling that she genuinely cared. I was very pleased with the results of my CP7 facials. I hardly ever wear makeup anymore and yet get compliments daily on my skin. The best part is, nothing looks fake or done, just like me at my best (several years ago). The staff is attentive, professional and helpful and the physicians take time to answers all my questions.
