I grew up with ABC as my entire family had the opportunity to work for this fine company. I remember my dad bringing me up to the Centerline store when I was a little girl and believe me this was a warehouse. Kind of plain and ugly to a little girl of eight who wanted to investigate where dad worked. But Gordie's wisdom in keeping the appearance plain enabled the tremendous savings to the customers. This was one factor that guaranteed "the closest thing to wholesale" motto which we carry through to today! Because ABC is a warehouse and they stand behind their motto "Will beat any price" I can't say enough good about it. These are salesmen who are totally on commission but they do guarantee the best prices. My entire family buys from ABC and we wouldn't have it any other way. This is the original store...back before they had 43 stores so whenever we needed something this is where my parents went. Please note: they are in the process of moving this location to the other side of van dyke (where the old Farmer Jacks) used to be. They will still be on 10 mile road. more

My husband and I went here looking for a dishwasher. We were barely through the door when the vultures started swooping in on us. The salesperson would steer us to items that were far too expensive, and then when we told him we'd like to just look for a minute, he did leave us alone. But all eyes from the other salespeople were suddenly on us. Like they were just waiting to pounce. We couldn't really do much shopping in such a high pressure store, so we went to Sears and got one there instead. more
