After asking friends what veterinarians they'd recommend, ABC Vets was their response. We took our senior dog and cat to the San Marcos hospital and they are simply the best! They're very professional, courteous and willing to spend time with us to explain; we think we're getting the best medical care possible for our pets.If only we could find doctors like this for people. more

Love these vets! 8/5/2011

absolutely love these vets. I have been a patient of Dr. Neichin for the last 17 years. I have always had excellent service and great care for my pets. I also feel that in general the staff has been informed and if someone didn't know something they would find someone who did. I have referred dozens of people to see Dr. Martin or Dr.Neichin and will continue to do so. more

Price was very reasonable 8/4/2011

Our 15 year old Beagle was not doing well, went to ABC to put her to sleep. Staff was very friendly and understanding, took us to a private room with sofa, chair, etc, like a living room in your home. Doctor came in to discussed my options, no pressure. Explained the procedure, asked if I wanted to be present, told him no. He said I could take a long as I wanted with my dog, no rush. A very nice young lady came in to complete the paper work, paid right there, didn't have to go back out to the waiting area. Very professional, made a very difficult experience as easy as possible. Price was very reasonable. more

Very happy 8/2/2011

I went here for the first time a little while ago and had the best experience. I brought in a very sick dog, and I was really upset and I was definitely in a position where I could have been taken advantage of. I'm sure they knew this and they did not take advantage of my distressed position. I would have done any testing or procedures they recommended to figure out what was wrong with her. Dr. Hansche was so great. What I appreciated most was how thorough he was. When I picked up her up, he spent at least 15 min. with me going over everything to expect and her tests in great detail. I've never had a vet go through every single detail of every test and x-ray. He also personally called me several times over the next week, not an office person, the vet! He really cared, not for the money, but I could tell he cared about my baby. She is now healthy and happy with a full recovery. Thanks Dr. Hansche! more

The vets and ABC are the best and most caring people I have ever known. ABC has taken such wonderful care of my dogs and cats and I miss having them as my Vets. I would get anything to find vets here in Texas as caring as I had in California. Thank you ABC for everyting. more

I love ABC it is by far the best veterinary office I have ever been to. I mean the place even smells good! The staff was awesome and loved my little baby Cleatus. It's weird you would think a 4 pound chihuahua would be scared of his doctor but he wags is tail and gets so excited to see Dr Martin. I have never had one of my doctors call to check on me after an illness, but Dr Martin called to check on Cleatus... I was amazed. If you love your pets go to ABC more

I really appreciate the personal attention at your office. I've brought two animals in, my dog and my mom's cat while I fostered her, and after each visit I get a follow up call to make sure all is well. All my questions are always answered and realistic options are suggested for problems I encounter. Love you guys! more

Wonderful staff! 7/26/2011

Dr. Martn is one of the best! He has helped us through some difficult times with out IG that we lost to cancer. We have now adopted another IG along without Orange Tabby Cat. Dr martin has given each our kids time and attention. I would not go anywhere else for the care of our kids. The staff is wonderful! I have my favorite...Heather B. She along with others have been outstanding and h ave gone the extra miles in helping us in all our n eeds! Love them!!! Thank you. more

ABC Veterinary Hospital is Simply the best - if I could find doctors this skilled and caring for myself I'd be extremely happy.... They have an amazing veterinary hospital with a level of care and types of services I have not found anywhere else. I took my dog in for she wasn't feeling well and was greeted with the utmost respect and professional manner. I would recommend them to my friends and family. more

Worth the Great Service 7/22/2011

We have two cats who both go to ABC. One is a shelter rescue and the other is a 4 month old kitten. The staff are always very pleasant and loving with the cats, giving them extra pets and attention. The doctor is great (Dr. Martin), asking questions, answering our questions, playing with the cats while he's talking to us. He always asks about the other cat when we're there with just one. They are a little on the pricey side compared to other places, but we think it's worth it for the service we get. Our brother goes to a cheaper place for routine shots and check-ups but comes back here for emergencies. The facility is very nice, always clean, roomy. Someone always calls the day after to make sure everyone is doing well and that we don't have any questi more

Staff Truly Loves animals 7/21/2011

I LOOOVE this place. The last 3 dogs I have had have been patients here and I am thoroughly ecstatic with the treatment they received. The doctors and staff truly love animals which provides for a much more caring environment than other veterinary clinics I have visited. I have had experience with almost all the doctors and have been pleased with the treatment my dogs received, even under very unpleasant situations. The best part of this office is the large exotic bird that chills out in the payment area. They had to remodel the office filing system as the bird used to eat the patient files = awesome! If you have a pet and reside near by, I highly recommend this practice. more

BY FAR 7/19/2011

I stumbled upon ABC Veterinary Hospital about three years ago when I first moved to San Diego and had adopted my Maine Coon Maggie! I had had some really terrible experiences at a few other vets and when I walked through the doors at ABC I was so excited to finally be among passionate animal lovers who are there to help! You'd think most vets are great with animals, but I realized prior to visiting ABC thats not the case. But long story short I've been happy with my service ever since and will forever be a loyal customer for both my cats Maggie and Pinky! One Dr in particular stands out however, as I've had to come in on short notice a few times and have dealt with a few of the Dr's there, Dr Jonathan Hansche BY FAR is one the best! He's always attentive and listens to questions and concerns and just overall makes you feel at ease when your pets are in despair. The entire staff is great though and I have not had one complaint thus far! THANKS ABC VET (you actually treated my cat Pinky today, and my boyfriend Bill & I want to thank you for getting her back home on the road to being in good health :) more

ABC Veterinary Hospital 4/12/2011

We were referred to ABC vet and Dr. Martin. We have had only one visit so far but it was everything we were told it would be. We really like Dr. Martin and the way he was gentle with our Belle who is actually very hesitant around men. We like the way we get an estimate prior to any treatment being performed so we know what we are up against. We actually broke the treatments Belle needed in 2 appointments so it would be easier to afford. Dr Martin spent a good amount of time with us and allowed us to ask as many questions as we needed to. We were very happy with our first visit. The follow up phone call by Dr. Martin was extremely appreciated and great customer service. Better than what we get when we go to our doctors. Thank you Dr Martin and ABC Vet Staff....You are all Great! more
