Horrible owner who has a bad attitude and lies about the return policy more

On 6/9/2012 I needed a new filter for my above ground 28 ft Pool. I had a hayward filter but every year I had to buy one or two new filter for about $100.00 each. I called SciotaVally to talk to someone about Filters and pump and also to get a price and I got and answer like well he's not in today and you can leave a message and this person will get back to you Monday. I cant wait until Monday so I called ABC Pools & Supplies-Columbus at 3481 Broadway, in Grove City Ohio 43123 614 875-0000 and spoke to the owner and he explained the three type of filter to me and which is the best and the worst. I went with the DE Filter and asked ABC what the cost would be and if they were open on Sunday and I was told the cost of the Hayward DE Filter and said that I would be in on Sunday. I went on Sunday and the owner wasn?t there so I thought I'm in trouble but the other sales person knew exactly what was talked about the day before and walked out with a new filter and pump for a great price. I never connected a pump and filer in my life so on Monday I attempted to put these two item on my pool stand and noticed that the pump was a top mounted where I need a side mounted to go into the filter. I called ABC and they told me no problem and to come down and will swap me with another but it is a better one and ABC didn't charge me. My Pump and Filter is now running and I have to thank ABC for a great job in helping me and the customer help if awesome. The store might be small but the help you get is BIG. Bought pool from this place last July 2010. Liner ripped within first week around seem. Went in and explained to owner that this happened, and was ask if i had kids. I said yes and then i was told ""Oh well they stuck their toes through it, been in business for 30 years and that always happens"". Said ok, and bought patch kit. Liner has then ripped in 2 additional places on seem. Wrote it off as defective liner, and patched. 1 Year after pool was in pump went bad, took it in of course out of warranty..accepted it and was told i could get rebuilt pump. Bought rebuilt pump brought home and installed. Pump immediately started smoking and tripped my breaker on outlet. Took it back owner apologized and gave me another one. took it home installed next morning ran for 10 minutes and then filled back yard up with smoke. Took it back, and then was yelled out and told that my extension cord was bad. (Note only used a 12 foot outdoor industrial cord that i use for shop vac, leaf blower, lets see electric impact wrench). Wow!!! cord was fine, owner told me they just installed new cord on the 2nd pump they gave me, however looking at cord it was badly fraid at the end attached to pump, but owner of ABC knows all he's been in business for 30 years, arguing with an electrician about a bad cord. Ask for money back....This is where it gets funny...paid 200.00 for first rebuilt pump plus tax 213.50, when got 2nd pump it was only 180.00 so he gave me 20.00 back...ok short a little tax but oh well...So i get 180.00 back today as i am counting it, owner yells at me and says he can count...well last time i checked, 180.00 + 20.00 is 200.00 where is my tax back, am i not allowed that...finally said not worth it left store, will never buy again from this place..went across street to Chevron Pools got a brand new pump for my pool.....249.00 brought it home used same cords installed pool running fine now for 7 hours...GO CHEVRON POOLS........My advice steer clear of this guy....go across the street and get treated like a customer...... more
