I have to say that anything with creepy crawly legs and antenas makes me scream!! and anyone that comes out quiclkly and professionaly removes them from my sight, is my hero!!\r \r I was having a issue with spiders in my brand new house, being single and cringing at the thought of 8legged creatures, I decided to call for estimates on pest control. After calling several companies and getting the run around, and promises of call-backs, I finally called ABC, they had me talk to someone right away. They took all my info down, and came out right away!! With in the hour I had a tech there checking and spraying my house! They were professional, quick, and got rid of my spiders! The tech was even nice enough to help me move some heavy moving boxes that I could not pick up by myself. \r I was so pleased by the customer service and responsivness, that I now use them for all my lawn and pool servicing!! just like expected they are hands down, true#1 top professioanls in pest control!\r \r Thanks again for all the extra help, and quickness. Pros: bye, bye bugs.... Cons: not calling sooner! more

WHAT A RIP OFF!!! 9/22/2009

I moved into a little duplex from a loft downtown and I was freaked out about seeing any insects at all so I purchased this service in Feb. 09. I stupidly signed a year contract thinking this would be the solution to my problems - but apparently their idea of ""treatment"" is to just put bait down in PLACES IN OPEN VIEW...like next to my CHAMPAGNE GLASSES and on my bathroom floor...etc. They came for 2 scheduled service appts and I had them come out to re-treat my back yard because my dog came in covered in fire ant bites. \r \r A week or so after the THIRD treatment in the back yard, I noticed that the back yard was still full of ants & my dog was still miserable. I called to cancel due to my dissatisfaction with paying over $510 for them to not accomplish anything and decided to take matters into my own hands. They still charged me $125 + tax(?) for a CANCELLATION fee!! They never performed their side of the contract - and I communicated this to them - but they said that without having a supervisor come to assess the problem - they would have to still charge the fee. I said that there is no problem now since I already had fogged and treated the back yard on my own and had seen better results than after any of their visits. Do not be stupid and use this company - go to the hardware store and do treat your own home. You will be richer for it. \r Cons: EVERYTHING!! more

I know this is not a forum, but my comment on Idlee's review didnt fit.\r A WDI report is a few pages long front and back with the step by step procedure that they are required by law to follow. I have a WDI report right here on my desk and the fence is not included in the inspection. That's not ABC, that is Texas. I'm not defending ABC, I think that the majority of their employees are idiots, but I had to intervene with this review. FANTASTIC Service! 6/5/2009

We asked ABC to come out to our house and give us a free estimate on pest control. They came out the next day (on time, even!) and thoroughly examined the house. At the same time, our sales guy, Jeff, noticed that the lawn was only half cut. When he asked why, I told him my lawnmower had stopped working. He took about 5 minutes, checked it out, tightened some screws and got it working again! ABC's prices are reasonable and we will definitely be our pest control provider! Horrible Pool Service 4/10/2009

This company is very polite and nice to talk to on the phone but nothing ever gets resolved. I thought hiring a company to come out weekly would help me take care of my pool. Instead, I have to follow up constantly, am told things are fixed when they are not, and have basically been paying for a weekly service that I am not getting. I had to fire them. I'm going to go with a small company who actually follows through on their service. Cons: Poor quality more

Bad service 10/23/2008

It is always a hassle to get ABC to provide service. You have to meet with an inspector who is suppposed to identify the problem. The inspector relays his findings to the company, who then schedules a technician. Almost every time an inspector has visited our house, he has misidentified the problem and does not understand the treatment. As a result, the first technician doesn't have the right equipment, so you have to schedule a second technician to visit. The second technician has the proper equipment, but it takes longer than the inspector said and, oh by the way, there is an additional charge. For each visit, ABC can only tell you that the employee will visit between 8 and 5. Thus, to have any treatment, you usually waste three days waiting for ABC. This process is followed whether it is for a one time treatment or if you are on an annunl service contract.\r \r We have a an annnual service contract with ABC. Under it, they come every three months to inspect for pest problems and treat. Today, ABC informed us that the quarterly inspections will only be outside the house. Good, because we don't have to wait for them to show up. Bad, because most of our pest problems are inside the house. Of course, they did not tell us about the change in procedures when they shecueld the quarterly inspection and asked us to be at the house. Found out when we called to ask why no one showed up as scheduled. Never using them again 6/19/2008

I hired ABC to inspect the home I was buying for termites before we went through with the purchase. The person who did the inspection was extremely courtesy and seemed to be doing a good job. Considering I paid $210 just for the inspection I was expecting nothing but the best. This is nearly twice as much as most pest control companies charge for this service.\r \r My regular home inspector was also on site and told me he had spent quite a bit of time outside looking for active nest sites etc. We bought the house since he was not able to find any termite activity. Within two weeks of moving in I discovered the entire perimeter fence was damaged by termites. I actually SAW termites on a piece of wood in the backyard. How he was able to miss this extremely active site considering the amount of time he spent I couldn't say. I called ABC to complain. I was informed that they do not check the fence at all. That seemed like a ""gotcha"" to me. This was never mentioned to me at any point. I figured if I pay you $210 to check the property for termites you check THE WHOLE PROPERTY and not cherry pick what you want to look. That defeats that whole purpose. I left a message with ABC asking a supervisor to call me. No one has ever called me back and the customer service I received on the phone was extremely rude. I'm now going to have to pay to have my house sprayed (they haven't attacked the house that I know of, this is preventive but who knows at this point) but you can bet I will NOT be using ABC. Pros: Tech seemed Professional Cons: Cost, Misleading, Unresponsive to complaints, Poor customer service more
