Beautiful wonderful cake. A little pricey but absolutly worth the money. The best tasting cake I have ever had!

Worst

It is so sad what has happened to this once great shop. Their cakes are now overpriced, often stale, and it is hit and miss on decorations.

Great Decorating and Dry cakes 11/11/2008

I love the decorating at ABC. I've ordered a few from them because themes amuse me. They always come out just as they do in the catalog. Pros: They have great themes and are skilled in creating them. Cons: The food is awful and they're a little pricey. more

Simple the best!!! 10/13/2008

Heavenly and to die for should never be used in the same sentence but im sorry these gourmet cupcakes are to die for!!!! I had the wedding of my dreams on July 19, 2008 and ABC made the wedding cake of my dreams. The cake was FABULOUS. My guests were trying to figure out if the cake was real because it looked so pretty. It was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. It was sectioned into 4 pieces (Chocolate Strawberry Peaches n Cream Key Lime) I can't even put into words how wonderful the taste was. Each Section had its own unique taste. I had no cake left from a cake that could feed 150 people. All of my guest (92) were taking large portions home because it was so good. I actually saw a couple of my guest fussing because they didn't want the cake to be eaten up so they could take some home. I plan on using him for all of my special occasion cakes. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend him.I also used him for my mother's 50th birthday celebration(the best CHOCOLATE BROWNIES I have ever tasted). And I am now using them for my nephew 2 year old's birthday party I don't remember how I found out about this place but im glad I did..........THANKS ABC Pros: Everything more

Tasty Cakes, but beware of extra charges and bad customer service 3/12/2008

ABC's cakes are great. They did my wedding cake last year and I was a little disappointed. They lost the pearls I gave them to use around the edges, so they improvised with frosting (without letting me know. My cake just showed up that way...they never even tried to contact me), and, when the cake was set up, they left it tipping to one side. Not a little, but very noticably. I was happy that my cake did not tip over, but it was tipping so much that it easily could have. The decoration on the cake was simple and elegant as I requested, I was just sad about the pearls. The cake did taste great and there was none left over. Afterward, it took a great deal of effort and quite a few pictures for proof, but they finally agreed to refund 10% of the cost. more

The buttercream is to die for. I order a cake for my son's birthday. It was white cake with raspberry filling and the best tasting buttercream in the world............. I would recommend. more

Some cake decorators don't do a good job 7/20/2007

I saw a very cute Nemo designed cake at a friend's house for her 1 yr old's birthday and decided that I would order the same for my 2 yr old's birthday. We also ordered the cake in chocolate. When I went to pick up the cake - it looked awful! The Nemo cake looked nothing like my friend's AND the chocolate cake was DRY too! We paid over $30 for an ugly dry tasting cake! When I called to tell ABC bakery they just sat on the phone and said NOTHING! I had to ask if they were still on the line. They said they could not do anything about it! I would have been satisfied with some sort of coupon or discount off the cake -- but it was if they did not care! I guess their business is doing so good that they don't care about CUSTOMER SERVICE anymore! Pros: Lots of designs for cakes of all ocassions Cons: If you get a Bad or Inexperienced cake decorator - you've just waisted your time and money! They are EXPENSIVE TOO! more

Check The Order 5/25/2006

Ordered an ice cream cake. Picked it up. When out of my way to ensure it did not melt before party. During party, noticed there was no ice cream. Called manager the next day. I was told that maybe next time, I'll double-check the order. more

Best Cakes in Albuquerque! 11/10/2005

This place has it all - cakes, cookies and other baked goods. Made a WONDERFUL ice cream cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Beautifully decorated as I requested, and tasty. All the guests commented on it. And about the same price you would pay in a grocery store bakery! Ordered ahead, but they were able to accomodate another customer on short notice. Great customer service. more

Absolutely wonderful cakes! 11/3/2005

ABC cake shop makes the BEST cakes in Albuquerque. They can make any design you bring to them. We ordered our wedding cake through them and it was very tasty and absolutely beautiful! The can make just about any style you want. My favorite is their fruit filled cakes with the whipped cream frosting. ABC also bakes breads, cookies, and a variety of other pasteries. You can also pick up sale items that are two days old. more
