Highly recommend this to anyone. Even if you're not looking to do this as your job, you should take it for the fun of it. Since the classroom is set up like a real bar, it doesn't feel like school at all. I learned so much and will be telling all of my friends about it. I am now certified and have already got calls back from their job placement assistance. I'm excited to start my new career thanks to ABC! more

i loved this class. . . i'm a single mother and ABC offered day, evening, and saturday classes. . . so i was able to work my schooling into my hectic schedule. . . jennifer was a great instructer who taught me alot. . . the hands on experience of learning and mixing drinks in a real bar atmosphere was the best!!!. . . i passed my exam and am confident that i will make a great bartender. . . the job placement website is also a great resource. . . I finally got a job. I had been out of work for almost a year. Then i decided to Bartend. I had thought about it for years. I graduated a couple of weeks ago and got certified from ABC. The class was informative and fun. I took the day class. They have it set up just like a real bar. Very experienced instructors. I learned all I will need to bartend. good job placement. I graduated from the Greenville school last week. The class was fun and informative. Alot to learn in a short two weeks, but joannie and jennifer made it seem easy. the bar like setting was my favorite part. I definitley recomend abc if you want to be a bartender. My experience mirrors many of the negative comments posted here and I too wished I had had the brains to look into this company before giving them my credit card number. This is a scam and you would do better to volunteer to work for a bar for a couple of weeks instead. Please, please, please do all you can to get the word out about ABC Bartending so other folks don't get suckered out of their hard earned money to line the pockets of people who have a special place in he** reserved for them. Also, note this i the same folks at Hollis Blvd. They change locations on occasion - can't imagine why. I went to ABC in 2006 and was instructed by Lisa. I had a blast for those few weeks learning from her!! She covered all the basics, and then some. She even taught us some bar tricks and some really cool stack-able shots!! Not only was it so much fun....I learned so much and made some really great friends in the process!!! I wish I had stumbled across these reviews b4 I decided to call Chris from ABC bartending school to enroll. What kinda threw me off was when he was getting my info over the phone. I don't have a common name at all and no one ever pronounces or spells it correctly. He never double checked my name, address, email OR number. I found it very odd that the only thing he verified or double checked was my credit card number! I thought it was fishy. Cons: SCAM, NO REFUNDS, FAILURE TO RETURN YOUR CALLS more

ABC Bartending School was a great experience for me. I enjoyed the whole bar set up for a classroom, and the instructors were amazing. The text book was very helpful as well. I was able to make as many notes as I needed to help me remember certain things and certain drinks. The hands on training really helped me improve and understand everything even more, as well. I loved the class, and every time I needed help I was assisted. I highly recommend this program. The class is also affordable. They worked with my schedule as well. I had odd hours at my job, and I was still able to make it to classes on time. After I was finished with the class, the job placement program was very helpful. They helped me search through a variety of places and I found a job in less than a week! more

I recently lost my job of 5 years. I decided to attend ABC Bartending School here in Greenville. This was a very informative class. Very good instructors. The training was hands on, we made drinks every night. Mike answered all my questions and was very helpful. Looking forward to a new career in bartending. Pros: small classes, low tuition more

This place is horrible. I attended the school, and since I have completed the course I have yet to receive my certificate. I do not live in Greenville, so I have asked that it be faxed to me, and for two weeks I have been lied to and told that they would do so. They have not even taken the time to drop the certificate in the mail. Also, do not believe that there is any type of job placement; on two separate occasions (during my class) disgruntled graduates walked in demanding job placement help. Further, the only type of job help is a hotline number, which, incidentally, has been down for over two weeks. This brings us to another lie?the recording on the job placement line says they will have the problem corrected in the next two days, unless I am wrong, two weeks is more than two days. They do not return phone calls, that is to say if you have already given them your money. This is precisely the reason why I need my certificate. When you are interviewing with employers, they want verification that you have attended a bartending school. I cannot give these employers verification because I have no certificate, and ABC does not return phone calls! I recommend that anyone considering going to bartending school look into another company?even if it means you have to travel. I chose ABC over my hometown school because it was cheaper, I have definitely learned that you get what you pay for. P.S. Class was cancelled at the last minute on two separate occasions.
