ABC Bartending School

The guy who teaches the night class (Rick) 6pm to 10pm is rude. He treats adults like teenagers. I didn't pay $400 to be talked down to. Avoid any classes with this guy. more

ABC bartending school is Simply The Best. It's Amazing how much one learns in just two weeks. they dont play games. this is serious stuff. you go in and bust your ass for two weeks yet if you study, particpate and work hard as I did...you will walk out a bartender. Mark is the main instructer. he is a cool guy.he is funny and knows his stuff. He makes any college teacher look stupid. the guy drills this stuff in your head that you will be dreaming at night with drink recipes. Rick is Mr. Bootcamp...he is tough and gets you nervous yet in a good way. he pushes you to be perfect. they both take this serious. five stars to both mark and rick. if bartending is what you are looking for then check this place out. The class experience started off good but then when the course was coming to an end, one of the owners by the name of Mark, asked me to go into his office to discuss job placement. He then proceeded to tell me that if I want him to find me a job, that I know what to do. I asked him what was it that I need to do, and he said I need to have sex with him or he will pass the job opportunity to someone else. I was so mortified, after that, that I felt so uncomfortable around him in class that I stopped attending and ending up not completing the course and lost my $500 dollars. When one of my classmates (he's a male, by the way) called me to ask me why I didn't continue to go to class, I broke down and told him my experience with the teacher Mark. My classmate confessed to me that Mark also intended to sexually harass him by proposing sexual favors in exchange for job placement. This guy is a disgusting pig and I hope that school gets shut down!!!!! more

I was hesitant at first in spending $400 on a two week class but after the first two days I loved it. While it's fast paced you still get to learn a lot and the best part you get to practice hand on behind a real bar. Its fun and it helps you get closer to getting you ready to behind a real bar at an establishment. Like I said above, its fast paced but so is any bar so it helps you anticipate whats out there. I say do the class with a friend, it makes it funner and you kinda push each other to beat one another hence helping you to react faster and learn more. more

Not only do you learn but you have fun!! I have always been attracted to bar tending but thought it was too complicating, which was my first impression of the class as well, but the instructors Mark and Rick did a wonderful job breaking down the information in a fun way for us to understand it better. They never gave up on us, no matter how confused we may have looked at one point, they always cheered us on and showed us new tricks to memorize certain things. It is fun!! I was excited before I took the class and now I love the profession!! I recommend ABC Bartending especially if you are really passionate about this, and if you are not, trust me, you will be! :) more

I am a recent ABC graduate, and LOVED the program! I?ve never worked as a bartender or in the restaurant/bar business. And I didn?t know ANYTHING about making drinks, about alcohol, etc. But I always wanted to try bartending. Initially, I was worried I would not do well or not be able to keep up. Thankfully, I was wrong. Mark, the instructor, is really funny, helpful, and experienced. The best part is you can come back and practice/attend classes whenever you like. They even help you find a job! If you are truly considering becoming a bartender or improving your bartending skills, this school is for you. more

I've worked as a bartender throughout the years in small bars and now at a country club. I wanted to take the class so I could become certified and get help through ABC's job placement. Well let me just say....Taking the class was the best decision I made!!! There are so many things my instructors covered and taught me that I didn't know before.... Mark is awesome and very witty. His knowledge of bartending, product and recipes exceeds others. You will learn a lot with him... Rick (another instructor) Is tough in the way that you need to learn the business and how to make your drinks right. Both instructors have many years of experience and high standards. They've worked all over and I trust that I was taught by the best instructors.... Thank you ABC!! more

I am a graduate of ABC Bartending School and the instruction and training is of the highest degree. Mark and Rick were my instructors and both of them displayed profound knowledge and experience in the field of bartending and passed on the information in fun and easy to learn methods. ABC Bartending is where you would want go. The instructors take their time with you and show you that they want you to learn. Everything there is hands on, so for me that was a plus. The experience will be a challenging one. So if thats what you want go for it, and for those who feel intimidated by a challenge don't be. Like I said earlier the instructors are the best and thats what they want to bring out of you. I gave it a try. oh and yes i'm a graduate. yay!!!!!! Pros: Excellent Instructors more

Get your money's worth at ABC! If you're serious about bartending like I am this is the only place where you'll receive the attention, training and tools you need to become a great bartender. Best investment I ever made, don't get sucked into scams by other schools and programs that are not certified. ABC is the real deal and the staff is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. I found a job through their job placement program and I've been sucessfully working as a bartender for years now! I highly reccomend this program! Pros: State licensed and flexible schedules! Cons: None! more
