I had a dented quarter panel on my station wagon, with chipping paint and surface rust. Bernie quoted me a reasonable price for the work, and, after fixing and painting that part of the car to look better than it did off the lot, he and his staff touched up a few other rust spots and washed the car, just to be thorough. And they took an hour less than expected, bringing the price down another $50! They did a fantastic job, plain and simple. Side note: when I was settling up the bill, Bernie was on the phone with another customer, to whom he explained that the work they wanted done would be prohibitively expensive and explained a more cost-effective option for them. For a little background, I needed to get a spoiler for my Lexus IS250. After calling numerous body shops in the Boulder area, ABC was clearly the best choice. The manager of another competitor (Pearl Street Auto) was going to charge me $200 more than ABC and make a hassle out of doing the work, giving me the impression that they didn't even know what I needed. Bernie made me feel extremely comfortable, knowing that he wasn't going to over charge me and that he clearly understood the project. Thanks Bernie! ABC Autobody was very helpful when my son smashed up my daughters car. They gave me a price quickly and even though the car ended up being totaled they helped me find an auto salvage company to take it off my hands and storaged the car for me for about 2 weeks, all at no cost to me. i would like to say i got 4 estaminets for my damaged bumper and this shop was by far i mean by far the lowest priced estaminet. he was so personable and made me feel like he was giving the best possible price he could give. all the other shops seemed very abrasive and i think took advantage of me being a 20 year old girl and my lack of knowledge of cars. there prices were about 200 to 300 dollars higher than the one this very nice man gave me. i would like to say if your looking for someone who cares about your car and prices your damages at the right price no matter your age, sexuality or knowledge of cars this is the one. i just wanted to say it is nice to have found an honest car repair shop. i will never take my car anywhere else!!!! Driving home from work one dark evening, I regrettably wiped out a family of raccoons on Foothills Highway. Bernie and his boys did a fine job fixing up my car, including powerwashing the places I couldn't reach, replacing the front bumper, straightening the dented door, replacing damaged undercarriage parts, painting and finishing, and helping me make my case to a skeptical insurance adjuster.\r \r We're fortunate to need Bernie's services very infrequently, but we're happy ABC has been our body shop since 1995. I backed my yellow Lexus into a ledge and ended up scratching the 2 lower panels on one whole side of my car...oops :( I searched for an autobody shop in Boulder and came across ABC. I read all of the reviews and thought for sure they were either 1.) fake 2.) exaggerated or 3.) written by Bernie himself! In any case, I thought I would stop by to get a quote. And truth be told, he IS as nice as everyone says. He honored the quote (very competitive, by the way) even though he ended up having to do a little extra work. I was worried about the cover up paint matching the color of my car but everything turned out great and the car looks brand new. Thanks Bernie and ABC. I'd intended write a rave review about Bernie and ABC Auto Body after the roof of my 2007 Ford Harley Davidson pickup collided with the bottom of a not-completely-opened garage door. Bernie was professional, calm (me, not so much), and an absolute pleasure to work with, considering why I was there. He understood that I wanted my ""baby"" to look like brand new, and darned if it didn't come back just that way! Sadly, that wasn't the last time I was going to see Bernie. Not much more than a month later, I found myself in need of a new front bumper. Don't ask. The best part about it was the fact that I new exactly where to go and whom to talk with, and sure enough, Bernie was right there to help out. It's hard to take the sting out of needing auto body repair, particularly when it's your fault, but somehow he manages to do that for you. No worries. This is the place to take your vehicle for body and paint work. I previously owned and operated an automotive repair (mechanical and body) shop for 23 years in western NY before relocating to the Boulder area in 1999. Until recently, I have not been in need of a collision repair since moving to Colorado. Looking for recommendations, I received a few referrals from friends, business associates and this website. My insurance company suggested two ""direct repair"" shops. I spent an afternoon in Boulder and visited the referred shops and the ""direct repair"" shops. I wanted to develop an onsite evaluation of the repair shop's facilities and personally meet with the shop's owner or manager. After visiting five shops, I chose ABC Auto Body of Boulder to repair my son's car. Bernie is a man you can trust with your car repairs. He made the whole process painless and kept me informed of the vehicle's progress. The car's paintwork and sheet metal alignment are better than before the accident.
